mother, Sylvia Cockram Hosack,sang her way through life.
During the 1940s, Sylvia studiedat The Royal Conservatory underthe tutelage of Healey Willan,also known as the “Dean of
Canadian composers.” After shepassed away, Jenifer and herhusband, Stephen, decided tomake a gift that would allow
them to permanently rememberher life and acknowledge
her love of music by namingfour seats in Koerner Hall in
her memory.
