COURSE DESCRIPTIONS, TOPICS, OUTLINES AND OBJECTIVES

Module 1: Getting Started with Feng Shui Feng Shui is often called “The Key to Good Fortune”. The Feng Shui journey captures a deeply poetical view of life’s underlying influences. It is a language of universal cosmology and change that we will explore on all levels; physical, emotional, spiritual and universal. Learn the how and why of “Energy Design” techniques associated with Feng Shui masters for thousands of years and unify the intuitive thinking processes of Feng Shui with a more analytical approach, blending east and west, right and left hemispheres of awareness…. This module will present the fundamental definitions and principles of Feng Shui. You will learn how Feng Shui applies to your life and how you can achieve results in your living and business environments. Most modern design lacks the implementation of Energy flow- and energy awareness. You have most likely heard of the concept “sick building syndrome”. Some houses just don’t feel right. Some businesses do badly for no apparent reason. Find out what the major contributing factors to these situations are. In the East, no major decision for business design or location is made until it is thoroughly investigated by a Feng Shui expert. This module consists of an exploration of the origins and history of Feng Shui, the different schools of Feng Shui, the development of Feng Shui's most powerful tools and an explanation of the underlying principles that allow Feng Shui to work. This includes a strong emphasis on Form School, one of the 2 original schools of Feng Shui. You will gain an understanding of the Taoist (Daoist) Art of Design and its part in environmental awareness and Solar Architecture. Unravel the complexities of the yin-yang principle and 5 elements theory and learn how to utilize them in design to enrich life and create the best energetic qualities for health and prosperity.

Module 2: Compass School, From the Ba Gua to Flying Star Methods

The universe and all it contains is essentially energy in a continual state of transformation. The ancient Taoist sages of the East observed powerful insights into the inner working of the universe, and devised methods to trace the everlasting process of change- the rhythm of the order of the universe. Here we continue our journey with an introduction to Compass School Feng Shui (the second of the original 2 schools of Feng Shui). Using the Lo pan compass as a reference tool, you will be led through an exploration of all that is possible when the 8 compass directions are combined with the dynamics of yin/yang and the 5 elements theory. With the introduction of the eight directions we follow the evolution of the “Later Heaven Trigrams” to construct the “Bagua”, an octagonal mandala with infinite uses in Feng Shui. We examine the Lo Shu, or the magic square of Feng Shui, as it leads to the Ming Gua and Ba Zhai methods, the core of “Eight Houses” Feng Shui.

Bagua, Ming Gua and Bazhai Methods Using these methods you will learn how to draw an energy diagram that illustrates the 4 auspicious and 4 less auspicious directions for the individual (Ming Gua) and for the structure (Ba Zhai). Once you have mastered these two powerful techniques you will be able to make informed and relevant choices for optimal design, which relate equally to the structure and the people that inhabit it. These techniques influence the selection of: The Flying Star Techniques The Universe is ever changing and natural influences evolve with the passage of time. Flying Star Feng

Shui incorporates the elements of time and space. Discover how to trace the pattern of change through the 20-year periods called “ages”. Learn how to access the fortune of a dwelling. With practice, one can become skilled at how to unblock energies that affect the potential of prosperity and health in a dwelling. The Lo pan Compass is the essential tool in Classical Feng Shui. Its many rings

reveal vital information in assessing a dwelling or building site and contain a large body of knowledge that encompasses classical Chinese philosophy, numerology and cosmology. The Lo pan reveals the different energies, which affect the site. With this knowledge, you can generate an in depth analysis of a home or business.

Module 3:

The Four pillars Feng Shui Astrology and Cosmology

Discover the richness of eastern philosophy and learn how to apply its principles to health, design, prosperity and spiritual transformation. The 4 Pillars Astrology is based on Taoist Metaphysics and Cosmology, and is used extensively by Feng Shui experts in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This sophisticated form of astrology can be used with a client to determine auspicious timing, relationship compatibility, lucky colors and personalized feng shui. The Four Pillars is an ancient system that reveals aspects of destiny, constitutional dynamics, and beneficial elements. It’s as useful for deriving relevant personal information about Feng Shui clients such as aspects of their character or family. Armed with superior knowledge of their clients and their needs, the practitioner can optimize the relevance and results of the consultation. Four pillars is an ancient system of constructing a Horoscope based on the “Heavenly Stems” and “Earthly Branches” of the hour, day, month and year of birth. Interpretation is the result of examining the manner in which the elemental and animal archetypes contained in the charts interact with aspects within the chart as well as conditions in the world. Let Roger take you on a fascinating 4 Pillar journey in time and space, yin-yang, spirals and elements to the very core of the formation of your constitution.

Four Pillars’ greatest strength for Feng Shui is its ability to accurately determine the Element make-up of the subject. Once the self-element is determined beneficial elements can be recognized and the most appropriate Feng Shui adjustments and design choices can be made.

Module 4: Practical Feng Shui Projects and Site Consults

Feng Shui is about harnessing ‘chi’, the life force that ripples water, creates mountains and propels us along our path. Discover how the Form school of Feng Shui can help you recognize the landscapes and buildings, which provide support for the residents of homes and office buildings. Find out how to balance negative forces that can deplete prosperity, health and well being. Combine form school principles with classical compass methods and apply them in a practical setting for the benefit of your clients and yourself. Gain practical experience and apply all that you have learned in the first 3 modules holistically. Build confidence in your practice by becoming assured that you are well trained before practicing on with clients.

The first 3 days of this module are dedicated to practical site visits. Students will have the opportunity to experience the components of actual consultations in a variety of settings; all under the expert supervision of Roger Green and SFSFS.

The final day is dedicated to the review of the course work to date. There is a take-home revision exam that will be reviewed on day 4. Students will also have the opportunity to present their Feng Shui Consultation Project to the class for review. Completing the revision exam and the project are required for certification.

Doing Consultations Our goal at SFSFS is to ensure that our students are confident and adept in making professional feng shui consultations. After the first two modules, students will perform one consultation, and after acquiring more skill and confidence, students will be required to do two or three after each of the remaining modules.

Module 5:

Advanced Feng Shui and Eco Design Principles

- Advanced 4 Pillars, - Astrology of the I CHING - Eco Design Principles - Revision and consolidation of previous 5 modules including: - Flying Star and Revision of all feng shui principles and techniques

Advanced 4 pillars methods and chart interpretation This course will cover advanced methods and case histories. Emphasis is on interpretation of Four Pillar charts. Charts and interpretation will be done also for all students in the class. Determine the Ten elemental Gods and their implications * Hidden Heavenly stems in Earthly Branches and the 10 Gods * The 12 Life cycles of the elements and their readings * Clash and combine relationships * Symbolic Stars * Flower of Romance * Star of Arts * Travelling Horse * Academic Star * The Astrology of the I Ching Learn how to construct your I Ching astrology Hexagrams based on the Four Pillars. This workshop has a detailed workbook that displays the 21 steps and calculations required for the pre and later heaven hexagrams of your birth. The hexagrams represent the sum forces acting on the earth at any one moment. Through a series of time based calculations, predictions can be made providing valuable information from the I Ching for all those searching for the path to follow. It allows you to identify and pursue your life's goals. Bio- Architecture is a concept promoted by Roger Green's International Sacred Geometry and Ecology conferences… held in several locations over the last 12 years. Cancellation policy Full refunds are granted to students in the event the program is cancelled. In the unlikely event of this happening students will be notified as early as possible and all funds returned. Full refunds are granted to students who discontinue their enrollment pror to the program beginning, minus a $600 non-refundable deposit/registration fee . If the student withdraws or discontinues their participation in the program once it has commenced they will receive course credit for up to two years. No refunds are availbale once the course begins.
