Why choose SAT®?

What SAT districts have to say…

“In an uncertain testing and accountability environment having the solid reputation of the College Board in our corner was essential. Their customer service and professional development were critical in our successful administration of the SAT.”

Considerations for Digital Testing

• Digital window of April 10-April 12, 2018.

• A district that chooses digital must:

• Administer the digital SAT to all students in the district

• Unless student needs paper/pencil accommodations

• Complete testing in one day unless a student has been approved for accommodations that extend testing time.

• iPads are not supported in 2017-18 testing year.

• Use of AIR platform in 2017-18 that Ohio districts are already familiar with.

Accommodations are submitted through an online system.

Accommodations Support

® SAT is available for all students

• Most students who have the accommodation written into their IEP or 504 and use that accommodation for testing will be automatically approved under our easier submission processes.

• Students who have previously been approved for College Board accommodations do not need to resubmit. Their accommodation will apply to SAT®.

• There are two types of accommodations:

• Those that result in college reportable scores for both students with disabilities and English Language Learners.

• Those that result in scores for students, districts, and the state but that cannot be used for college admissions.

More detailed information will be available from the Ohio Department of Education and College Board in the near future. 20
