1. Pop/Rock Genre• Girl sad at the start of the video, missing her home in Ireland• Danny dancing about in the video when the song is more upbeat and happy• Shots of the band playing the song in a dark room with the lighting pointing down on them
2. • ‘She needs me now but I can’t seem to find the time’ – as the man drives off to work.• ‘Trying to making it work but man these times are hard’ – Danny is sad, shows thing notworking for couple that are being represented during the video.• ‘Drinking old cheap bottles of wine’ – we see the couple drinking bottles of wine.• ‘We’re smiling but we’re close to tears’ – we see the girl crying, thinking about her home.
An overall view of the relationship between lyrics and visuals would be that the visuals act out the lyrics in the song, so the music video is like a story.
3.• As the music gets faster/upbeat the couple and Danny start to become happier.
