It’s Not Your Fault!We are born into this world vulnerable and very quickly come to rely on the love of our caretakers to ensure our survival.

Because of this, from the moment we are born we begin to unconsciously create our own ‘map of love’ based on what (we think) love looks like, feels like, sounds like, and what we need to do in order to receive love.

Essentially we equate ‘love’ to what feels familiar and in alignment with our early experiences of relating.

Our primary caretakers growing up (often our parents) play a big role in this.

It’s Not Your Fault continued…

In addition to this, as we grow up and go through life we inevitably get wounded in different ways…

These events also get imprinted onto our map of love and (in an effort to avoid future heartbreak) often lead to the creation of limiting beliefs that hold us back later in life.

Often we are not even consciously aware of what these limiting beliefs might be, however their existence is evident, reflected in self-sabotage and the recurring frustrations we experience while dating.

What is a Belief?

A belief is something you tell yourself often and that at least, a part of you believes to be true.

Our beliefs can either empower us to stretch beyond our current limitations – or in the case of limiting beliefs – keep us stuck where we don’t want to be, or worse sliding backwards.

Common Examples of a Dating Life Sabotaged by Limiting Beliefs

• You tend to overlook or misinterpret the signs if someone is interested in you or not

• You keep attracting men you’re not really interested in

• The men you are attracted to, don’t seem to be interested in you

• You often find yourself in a caretaker role within relationships

• Looking back, you notice some unhealthy recurring patterns of relating

• You sometimes wonder if you will ever meet a good life partner

Why Can’t I Achieve What I Desire?

Here’s the thing: in order to get the love you want, real behavioural change has to happen on both a conscious and unconscious level. This is why consciously you might know what you ‘should’ be doing differently to get the love you want, yet still you find yourself sabotaging your dating life in one way or another. Often this is due to some subconscious fears and limiting beliefs that are misaligned with the conscious beliefs causing an inner conflict. This SEC film is designed to kick-start the process of reconciling these conflicts by aligning your subconscious with your conscious beliefs and reprogramming your mind towards a more positive outcome.
