Christ is by inviting them. Yes, friends inviting
friends, families inviting families are the ways

Obstacles. The dictionary defines obstacles as “something that stands in the way or opposes.” Something that is between where you are and where you want to go. Life is filled with obstacles. Some of them will be small, such as a road block on the way to work, and some may be large like illnesses that alter
the course of your life and everyday living. Michael A. Guido of Metter, Georgia, a columnist, wrote about an artist in Mexico that lost his right hand, his primary hand, while working on a statue. This led to a lot of frustration. But the artist did not give up his work. He learned to carve with his left hand. His beautifully finished masterpiece was called “In Spite Of”. Throughout history, key leaders have had to overcome obstacles in their lives. Abraham Lincoln was born to illiterate parents. Thomas Edison was deaf. Julius Caesar was epileptic. Booker T. Washington was born into slavery. There are spiritual obstacles that effect our lives as well. Things that we allow to come between us and our relationship with the Father. Maybe it’s a secret sin that you are holding onto, maybe it’s a bad habit that is holding us back, or maybe its complacency in spiritual life. We know that we need to be closer to God but we find an obstacle in the way. Satan is a master of plac-ing obstacles that will cause us to fall the hardest. John Neal, a notable author of the 1800s, said, “A certain amount of opposition is a great help to a man. Kites rise against, not with, the wind.” When obstacles face us we are forced to trust. When life get tough we are instructed to remain obedient. When all else seems lost, we always have God. Read Joshua 3:1-17 and take encouragement from how they responded to their obstacle and how they “rose against the wind”.
