The SH Lip Sync is Saturday, January 21st, 1pm
Join us for a fun filled event you won’t want to miss…
Lip Syncing, food & treats, & More!
If you would like to participate in the 2017 Lip Sync, please complete the bottom part of this form and return
to school by Monday December 12th. The Cost per Child to enter is $3.00 and all money is due at the
time of entry form submission on December 12th. Please return to school in a marked envelope stating “Lip
Sync - Attention Mary Ellen Brennan”. Show admission costs will be $3.00 per adult and $2.00 for children.
All children 4 and under are Free. This event is open to all students of South Harrison Township Elementary
School and all students MUST be accompanied by an adult. All participants of the Lip Sync will receive a “Star
Performer” medal, pretzel and drink. Students will have the opportunity to proudly wear their medal to
school on Monday January 23rd. All Lip Sync proceeds will be used to cover the costs associated with this event
and to support the Home and School Association’s fund raising efforts.
We will have 2 sessions: K-3rd grade will start at 1pm, followed by a 25 minute intermission. The show will
then resume with the older grades performing.
Parents, ALL SONGS MUST BE PREAPPROVED BY MRS MESMER PRIOR TO REGISTERING THE PERFORMER(S).
Mrs. Mesmer will review ALL songs for content. Please go to www.lyrics.com and do the following:
1. Find your song
2. Cut and paste the lyrics into an email or Word Doc
3. Email lyrics to: [email protected]. Please include the song name & artist (because there can be
multiple versions of the same song – original recording, remake, kidz bop, etc…), and contact name &
email for the group (if more than one person performing song)
4. You will receive an email back saying it is approved or not and then you can complete the attached
registration form for all approved songs.

Lip Sync Guidelines & Details
1. Your song should not be more than 3 minutes long. Please use as a guide.
2. Absolutely NO inappropriate words or content! This includes the following:

Parents MUST check the lyrics of the song before it is submitted. You can do this by
logging onto www.lyrics.com
A LIST OF ALREADY APPROVED (performed in previous lip syncs) SONGS ARE ON THE
WEBSITE (go to H&S section and click on fundraisers & Lip Sync). YOU MAY USE ANY
OF THOSE, AS LONG AS IT IS BY THE SINGER LISTED, WITHOUT HAVING TO SUBMIT IT.
3. Nothing is to be thrown from the stage into the audience during a performance.
4. Costumes and props are encouraged but should be easy to set up and take down as
time is limited between acts.
5. There will be a $3.00 admission charge for adults & $2.00 admission charge for children
5 and over at the door. Children under 4 will be admitted FREE.
6. Snacks / Treats, Scrip Cards, and other items will be available for purchase during the
entire show. Proceeds will support the Home and School Association’s fund raising
efforts.
7. The front row will be reserved for the parents that have an act performing. We will
rotate this seating every 4-5 acts. This allows ALL parents to be able to take pictures of
their child performing.
8. Please have a CD copy of your music turned into Mary Ellen Brennan with your
registration. This ensures the song you are practicing to is the song that will be played
when you are performing.
