FANTASTIC FETE FUN!
On Saturday we were blessed with beautiful sunny
skies and warm weather for the return of our fete.
Our families came along and supported the event,
with extended families and community and lots of
fun was had by all. Our school and its awesome
team was certainly on show!
These days only succeed because of the combined
efforts of staff, families and community.
Our teachers and SAS staff gave up their weekend
time to be here on Saturday, also spending a lot of
time prior to Saturday in preparation.
We were supported heavily by community
businesses and individuals also, to which we say a
sincere thankyou.
Kim Rhodes, our Community Liaison Officer, spent
many hours working meticulously on the day and its
organisation. THANKYOU to Kim for her tireless
efforts and determination to make the day so
successful.
Our colour run, led by Miss Ryan, was an absolute
ball of fun, and I am sure the staff enjoyed dousing
the kids and other competitors with chalk powder
as they ran by. I certainly did!
We are looking forward to continuing to hold our
fete biannually, as it is a huge effort and
organisation.
Your feedback is always important. We would
appreciate any ideas and suggestions for the future
fete in 2020.

THIS WEEKS POSTIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR
LEARNING LESSON (PBL)
LEARNING SAFETY RESPECT
PBL Term 4 Week 3 For week 3, students were looking at the importance of respecting our toilets around the school. The lesson clearly explained what is expected and not expected when using the toilets. Our school values of Safety and Respect is linked directly with appropriate toileting. Students should always be safe when using a toilet or in the bathrooms. It is within our best interest that students are safe at all times and understand the importance of toileting correctly. Students were able to communicate positive and negative examples on how to best support themselves and their peers in being safe and respectful members of our school community.
Congratulations to all students who received awards, brag tags and personal bests at our most recent assembly. Keep striving for excellence!
Regards
PBL Team

Student Health
Last week on Facebook we posted that we have
had one confirmed case of hand, foot and mouth
disease. There is no cause for alarm and the
student is well and truly almost back to 100%.
Attached to today’s newsletter is an information
sheet about the disease, which is a common viral
infection—which can be easily passed from person
to person.
2019 Enrolments
A reminder to all families that we are currently
conducting enrolment interviews for 2019

the front office if you haven't already.
If your family is moving away from Tenterfield and
will not be here for the 2019 school year, please
advise the front office or myself as soon as
possible.
Have a fantastic week ahead!

Resilience
In the Dingos this term we are focusing on building up our resilience.
We have discussed that some days we may not be feeling 100% and that is ok!
We have been looking out for each other and trying our best to up lift each
other when we know our friends are feeling down.
We are strong together!
Life is not about how fast you run, or how high you climb,
It is about how well you bounce.
