ST PANDIONIA’S PARISH - APRIL This month we celebrate Easter and we are delighted that the Right Reverend Dr David Thomson, Bishop of Huntingdon will be leading our all age communion service at 10.30am on Easter Day. We will be giving him a warm Eltisley welcome and very much hope that many of you will be able to join us for the service. Our Good Friday walk will start at St Pandionia’s at 10.15 am on Friday 14th April. There will be hot cross buns and coffee on offer before we walk to Caxton, arriving in good time for the Stations of the Cross service there at noon. Cars will be available at Caxton to bring walkers back to Eltisley either before or after the service. Do come along - it’s always a good bit of exercise as well as a chance to meet new people and catch up with friends. You might even find a few easter eggs along the way! Another great annual event is the Eltisley Safari Supper that will take place on Saturday 22nd April. If you haven’t been to a safari supper before then this event is really not to be missed. If you have been before then this year’s promises to be even better with some new hosts as well as a few additions to the programme! Book your tickets now - more details elsewhere in the newsletter. Lastly a big thank you to Cambridge University Brass Band who delighted us with another wonderful concert in the church on March 24th, as well as those who helped to make this event happen. Thanks also to those who turned out to help with the churchyard clear up. Both events involved a great team effort and everyone’s energy and time were, as always, very much appreciated. DATES FOR YOUR DIARY Sunday 2nd April: Annual Parochial Church Meeting in church 12 noon Friday 14th April: Good Friday walk - meet at church 10.00 am Sunday 16th April: Easter service led by the Bishop of Huntingdon Saturday 22nd April: Safari Supper 7.00pm - late Saturday 15th July: Church Fête on the Green 2-4.30pm
