The sole basis of our bel ief is the Bible, composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament . We

bel ieve that Scr ipture in i ts ent i rety or iginated with God and that i t was given through the

instrumental i ty of chosen men. Scr ipture thus at one and the same t imespeaks with the author i ty of God

and reflects the backgrounds, sty les, and vocabular ies of the human authors. We hold that the Scr iptures

are infa l l ib le and inerrant in the or iginal manuscr ipts . They are the unique, fu l l , and final author i ty on al l

matters of fa i th and pract ice, and there are no other wr i t ings s imi lar ly inspired by God.

The central purpose of God’s revelat ion in Scr ipture is to cal l a l l people into fel lowship with Him.

Or iginal ly created to have fel lowship with God, man defied God, choosing to go his independent way,

and thus was al ienated from God and su�ered the corrupt ion of h is nature, render ing him unable to

please God. The fa l l took place at the beginning of human history, and al l the indiv iduals s ince have

su�ered these consequences and are thus in need of the saving grace of God. The salvat ion of mankind

is , then, whol ly a work of God’s f ree grace, not the resul t , in whole or in part of human works or goodness,

We bel ieve that there is one true, holy God, eternal ly exist ing in three persons— Father, Son and Holy

Spir i t—each of Whom possesses equal ly a l l the at t r ibutes of dei ty and the character ist ics of personal i ty.

In the beginning God created out of nothing the world and al l th ings therein, thus manifest ing the glory

of His power, wisdom, and goodness. By His sovereign power He cont inues to sustain His creat ion. By

His providence He is operat ing throughout history to fu lfi l l His redemptive purposes.

Jesus Chr ist is the eternal second Person of the Tr in i ty who was uni ted forever with a t rue human nature

by a miraculous concept ion and vi rgin bir th . He l ived a l i fe of perfect obedience to the Father and

voluntar i ly atoned for the s ins of a l l by dying on the cross as their subst i tute, thus sat isfy ing div ine

just ice and accompl ishing salvat ion for a l l who trust in Him alone. He rose f rom the dead in the same

body, though glor ified, in which He l ived and died. He ascended into heaven, and sat down at the r ight

hand of the Father, where He, the only Mediator between God and man, cont inual ly makes intercession

for His own. He shal l come again to earth, personal ly and vis ibly, to consummate history and the eternal

plan of God.
