Chamber 101 Wows

It's been six months since the launch of the

new Chamber 101 presentation and the

"Wow!" factor has been through the roof.

Members who have attended were thrilled

with the information, the lunch, and how

much the Chamber does for the

membership.

"You got to see the heart of the Chamber.

That's what impacted me the most," said

Russ ODonnell, Branch Manager and

Senior Loan Officer with Security National

Mortgage. He attended Chamber 101 a

couple months ago as a guest and became

a member after the

session. "You don't

know the power of

the chamber of the

commerce until you

get on the inside.

You don't know what you don't know. Seeing

the presentation and meeting everyone it

made me see the chamber really is in it for

everyone's business success."

Chamber 101 is a lunchtime session where

benefits offered by the Southwest Valley

Chamber of Commerce. It's a free session on

the first Thursday of each month at the

Southwest Valley Chamber office. Lunch and

mingling is 11:30am-12:00pm and the

presentation is 12:00-1:00pm. Lunch is

sponsored by Haymaker Restaurant

Biz 2 Biz: A Big Deal

The West Valley Chamber of Commerce

Alliance, producers of the annual Biz 2 Biz

expo, announced this year's event will be

at the Glendale Civic Center.

Bigger venue, bigger event,

and a bigger reason for you

to show your stuff as an

exhibitor! Biz 2 Biz is one of

the most successful business

events in the entire valley.

Only Chamber members can

have a display at Biz 2 Biz, a

tabletop expo that attracts

over 400 business owners, professionals,

and consumers. Register as an exhibitor by

Got Family Visiting?

In a recent study conducted by Arizona State University

and the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, seventy-

five percent of the participants said family and friends

gave them the most information about a vacation spot.

This is your chance to be the hero to your family and

friends!

The best place to get online information about the local

community is www.VisitSouthwestValley.com! The

Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce launched this

tourism website last year and it's a great source for

anyone visiting.

The new Southwest Valley Visitor Guide is available for

pick-up at the Chamber office. You might see them

distributed at visitor information centers throughout the

state, too. There are tourist dollars out there and the

Southwest Valley is an amazing vacation destination!

Remember the Southwest Valley Chamber is also a state

designated Visitor Information Center. Your family and

friends can discover places to stay, where to eat, shop,

and have fun all in the Southwest Valley. Plus, we have

information for all the other areas in the state where a

tourist might want to explore. We even have an official

state-certified Office of Tourism ambassador on staff!

The fifth annual Bootiful Night at the Chamber is in the

works and is looking to be even more spooktacular than

last year. Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday,

October 26 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Applications are

available online to sign up for a spot at this fangtastic

expecting about 300 for 2017.

This is a great opportunity to let the community know that

you are here and eager to be part of the excitement.
