DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)Intervenes in demanding driving situations by applying braking to individual wheels and reducing engine torque.

TRAC DSC MODETrac DSC optimises the DSC settings for maximum traction in difficult conditions such as packed snow. The less restrictive settings of Trac DSC also enable a more involving and focused driving experience.

DYNAMIC MODEDynamic Mode co-ordinates the car's control systems to deliver a high performance driving experience. When Dynamic Mode is selected, the transmission switches to manual and Trac DSC is automatically engaged.

WINTER MODEDesigned for use in slippery conditions, Winter Mode selects 2nd gear for pulling away on level ground. This helps to ensure that optimum traction is maintained.

ADAPTIVE DYNAMICSContinuously monitors the road and driver inputs and optimises the car's suspension settings for ride comfort and control.

ACTIVE DIFFERENTIALLimits the slip between the rear wheels, improving traction on uneven road surfaces. Can also improve stability in oversteer situations.

CRUISE CONTROL WITH AUTOMATIC SPEED LIMITER (ASL) In tandem with cruise control, an Automatic Speed Limiter (ASL) allows the driver to select a maximum speed that should not be exceeded.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) WITH INTELLIGENT EMERGENCY BRAKE (IEB) AND ACTIVE SEAT BELTSUses microwave radar technology to monitor for slower moving traffic and can alert you to potential hazards ahead. It also controls both throttle and brakes to help maintain a constant time gap to the vehicle in front. When the road ahead clears, the system automatically accelerates back to the speed at which you were driving. Forward Alert provides an audible warning if traffic ahead slows.

INTELLIGENT STOP/STARTStop/Start is a technology that stops the engine when it is not needed, improving the fuel economy and reducing the car's CO₂ emissions. The engine will restart immediately as soon as the driver's foot comes off the brake pedal. The engine will be operating at full capacity before the driver's foot has touched the accelerator pedal.

SAFETY AND SECURITYPEDESTRIAN CONTACT SENSING SYSTEMIndustry-leading system that senses an impact between a pedestrian and the front of the car. It instantaneously raises the bonnet through a small distance in a very controlled way, to help prevent the pedestrian from contacting hard points under the bonnet.

JAGUAR TYRE REPAIR SYSTEMProvides an electric pump and a canister of sealant to enable a temporary repair and re-inflation for a puncture of up to 6mm diameter in the tread area of the tyre, but not in the tyre walls.

EXTERIOR FEATURESADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTINGSensors react to the car’s speed and steering input, and the system can deflect headlamp beams casting light deeper into corners, giving added confidence at night.

BLIND SPOT MONITORUses radar sensors to remotely cover areas that cannot be seen either directly or by mirror, and alerts the driver of overtaking traffic with an amber warning icon in the external mirrors.

INTELLIGENT HIGH BEAMIntelligent high beam automatically maximises driver visibility. When sensing preceding, oncoming traffic or street lights, the headlamps will automatically switch to low beam, maximising driver visibility and appropriate beam useage. The system automatically switches to high beam when the oncoming car has passed.

INTERIOR FEATURESJAGUAR SENSEAn electronic control system that operates the front overhead console lights and opening of the glovebox by a light touch.

In addition the manufacturing assembly CO2 emissions of each Jaguar built in the UK since 2009 is 100% offset. For each tonne of CO2 emitted in the assembly process, Jaguar invests in projects that reduce an equivalent tonne of CO2 elsewhere.

Taking into account the company’s global sales growth and increased investment in more efficient operating facilities, we are proud to have delivered and in some cases exceeded our Environmental Innovation targets as planned for 2012.

And we are on track to meet our 25% reduction in joint European fleet average tailpipe CO2 emissions by 2015. Looking forward, we have developed our 2020 vision for sustainable business growth that focuses on continued improvements in tailpipe CO2 emissions, operational carbon neutrality and zero waste.

To date the company has offset over 6 million tonnes of CO2, provided over 4,000 direct jobs in 60 emissions reductions projects in 17 countries and improved the lives of over 1 million people in our global cook stoves emissions reduction programme.
