Destined to be used for Avanti, and seemingly rising out of the ashes of his shop, the pads were immediately named the Straubinger Phoenix Pad™ – after the mythical bird that rises from its smoldering ashes to be reborn.

The Straubinger Phoenix™ Flute Pad

Ideal for use on production flutes, the Straubinger Phoenix™ Flute Pad’s outer felt covering, wraps around the outer rim of the pad instead of stopping at the pad’s edge. This, plus other special design features allows a sure seal, yet the pad produces a similar superior response, longevity with regards to adjustments, and the freedom of musical expression afforded by the traditional Straubinger™ Pad.

Avanti Flutes has been granted exclusive rights to market C-Flutes equipped with the Straubinger Phoenix™ Flute Pad for two years - another first for the Avanti Flute designed by Bickford Brannen and the flute makers at Conn-Selmer, Elkhart, Indiana.
