THE SYNOD ON MARRIAGE

This process began last fall with a universal

synod in Rome, addressing the issue of marriage

and the family. The preliminary results of the

synod have been published, and Rome is asking

for input from the People of God. This is your

chance to respond to questions posed by the

Synod and to get your insights and

responses. The survey may be found

at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/lineamenta

survey. If you feel that sometimes your voice

isn't heard, then please respond to this survey,

and know that your voice is heard.

An invitation to our Dear fellow Parishioners in Christ: We would love to invite you to our beautiful chapel for

Adoration of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Exposition times are from 12:45pm Sundays through

& until 5:00pm on Fridays. The chapel is located in the back of the church and there is

signage to show you the way. We are extending a warm welcome to you. Feel free to enjoy a Holy Hour here with us any time day or night during these

hours of Exposition. You can call our parish office at 734-878-3161 to obtain the entry code number

which opens the chapel door. Bring your life stresses & trials-joys & petitions before Our

Lord Jesus Christ who is truly present in the Exposed Eucharist. The warmth of His Love is here for you!

MARRIAGE RENEWAL OF VOWS Sunday, February 8, 2015

11:30am Mass In this Year of Marriage we are celebrating and praying

for the dignity and sanctity of marriage.

On Sunday, February 8th

, which is World Marriage Day,

we will honor this holy covenant at the 11:30am Mass by

inviting St. Mary couples celebrating their 25th

, 30th

, 35th

,

40th

, 45th

, and 50th

plus wedding anniversaries in 2015 to

attend this Mass.

These representatives of all married couples will renew

their marriage vows during this Mass with a reception

following. Participating couples are also invited to bring a

wedding picture to display during the reception.

, to let us know if you will be

celebrating with us. We will need the date and place of your

marriage and the anniversary year you will be celebrating in

2015, and a contact number.

GIRLS ON THE RUN IS COMING TO

ST. MARY SCHOOL! Girls on the Run will meet Mondays and Wednesdays right

after school here at St. Mary (3:30 - 5pm). Season starts

on March 9th and runs until May 22nd!

What is Girls on the Run? Girls on the Run is a non-profit

organization that envisions a world where every girl knows

and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly

pursue her dreams. Our ten-week program is designed for

girls in grades 3rd-8th. Lessons are led by trained volunteer

coaches who guide and mentor the girls through an uplifting

curriculum that focuses on life-long skills to improve

emotional and physical health. The girls then run a non-

competitive 5k event which gives the girls a chance to shine

and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. 5k event is

on Sunday, May 17, 2015.

WE C.A.R.E. – 2 This program is designed for married couples who are interested in strengthening their communication skills in a faith-based setting. The program is designed to teach couples communication skills and techniques for handling conflict and promoting intimacy with the aim of preventing future marital problems and divorce. Perhaps you took the WE C.A.R.E. program during your engagement and would like a refresher to strengthen your communication skills. Or, perhaps you were not able to participate in this program during your marriage preparation and would like to take advantage of this opportunity now.

The CARE Program teaches:

How to communicate what you want out of your

relationships.

How to resolve conflict effectively and reduce

arguments.

How to solve problems as a team.

How to keep friendship and intimacy a part of

your relationship.

How to develop skills to enhance

understanding and maintain commitment.
