Redang Island Redang is considered one of Malaysia’s most unspoilt premier Island retreats and the Malaysians call their Island ‘PulauRedang’. This is thought to be because of the Redang tree that grows here on the island as well as its literal meaning as a ‘stop-over place’ possibly due to its use as a refuge from pirates on the trade routes between India and China. Located 45km off the coast of Kuala Terengganu, Redang is the largest amongst a group of islands dotting the north east cost of Malaysia where the crystal clear water houses numerous dive sites as well as some amazing and abundant marine life. About The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort The Taaras is a private resort found at ‘TelukDalamKecil’ which is the slightly smaller of the two natural bays on the east coast of the island. Swaying coconut palms, white talc like beaches as well as its very own house reef just off shore are some of its natural attributes. For your guests or delegates we have a collection of different room types available; from our more traditional Malay style chalets housing our Ocean Front and Garden Suites to our more contemporary hilltop Premier Collection with sweeping views over the cliffs, bay and beach below. For corporate retreats or our more high profile clients, there is also the option of exclusive Cliff Villa which boasts five bedrooms, infinity swimming pool as well as its own private staff and security for your privacy and comfort. There are two ‘bespoke’ meeting rooms found on the first floor of the main building near the library. These two rooms are suitable for up to twenty persons each and have wonderful views over the main beach as well as break out areas for coffee or working lunches. Each or the rooms can be combined to host a bespoke meeting or event space for up to fifty persons.

Whether you wish to have a lavish buffet spread of International and Asian Fusion inspired cuisine at Asean All Day Dining or dine outdoors on the deck on delectable grilled seafood at The Beach Brasserie, you will find it hard to resist the fare on offer. Movie and karaoke Lounge

Three State of art small lounges on our 1st floor of the main building, which can be used for

private Karaoke or a Movie depending on the event and existing bookings. Should you wish to

hire this space, please discuss further with our Leisure Concierge Team. There is also the option

of setting up a Bar within the Movie and Karaoke Lounge for your personal enjoyment.

Corporate Retreat

Redang is the ideal place to hold your teambuilding events and our people are more than happy

to organise teambuilding tele-matches and games for your company. Depending on your number

of people; why not consider hiring the island as a private retreat – exclusively for your company

or party.

Wedding Blessing & renewal of vows

Our beach front is one of the most beautiful scene stealing backdrops for you to renew your love

for each other; whether it be just for the two of you or with the addition of your family and

friends. Please ask for our information on Wedding Blessings and our photograph albums.

Special Event

There is also the opportunity to do something really fantastic with your party either on our

Rainforest deck or on the beach itself. We have held many wonderful events and dinners on the

white talc like beach so please let us know if you would like to see some photographs.

Term & Condition

All prices are quoted in Malaysia Ringgit excluding 10% service charge and prevailing government tax.

Where additional specialised equipment is hired from outside the property, hiring and

logistics charges may apply.

All Bookings, both for accommodation or meeting facilities remain provisional, until 50%

deposit is received, full payment must be made at least 2 weeks prior to event

Event requirements must be confirmed in writing and endorsed by the organiser a

minimum of seven working days prior to the event. So to allow produce to be sourced

and special requirements addressed.

Should changes be requested to the signed agreement on arrival at the property, the

resort will do it’s best to fulfil the requests but reserves the right to charge accordingly.

Vegetarian canapé/snack selections and buffets are available by prior request.

Any liquor or beverages brought into the resort for the use during the event must be

declared to the resort. Additional corkage charges will be applied to the organizers

account

The organiser holds all liability for the conduct of their delegates or party members. The

resort reserves the right to charge accordingly for any non declared charges or

damaged/missing resort property.

Should for any reason any product not be available, we will do our best to offer an

alternative equivalent of comparable quality and price given our location.

We reserve the right to change any of the above information at any time and for any

reason.
