Baptism as a Figure of Speech

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 (ASV) 1 For I would not,

brethren, have you ignorant, that our fathers

were all under the cloud, and all passed through

the sea; 2 and were all baptized unto Moses

in the cloud and in the sea; 3 and did all eat

the same spiritual food; 4 and did all drink the

same spiritual drink: for they drank of a

spiritual rock that followed them: and the

rock was Christ.


1 Corinthians 12:12-13 (ASV) 12 For as

the body is one, and hath many members,

and all the members of the body, being

many, are one body; so also is Christ.
