1. Pg.51 paragraph 7 in the book Al Capone Does My Shirts Moose says
“Not a double play combination like the famous Tinker to Evers to Chance.”
These are old baseball players that played back in 1912 that most people don’t
know today, but Moose knows because it was only a few years ago.
2. Pg.78 in the last paragraph Piper responds to the question, “How much for
socks?” and she responds, “Two cents.” Two cents was worth more back then.
3. Pg.145 paragraph 5 Moose looks at the golden gate bridge construction to
see
their slow work on it. “I look to see how they’re doing on the Golden Gate
Bridge today. Progress is slow.” The golden gate bridge construction was still
going on when Alcatraz was open

4. On Pg. 15 paragraph 3 Theresa says, “Oh we have everyone
who is bad. Except for Bonnie and Clyde on account that
their being dead.” They were big gangsters back in 1935.
5. On Pg. 14 paragraphs 4 when Piper starts telling Moose
about Al Capone when she says, “Alphonse Capone AKA:
Scarface”, and AL Capone was the biggest mob boss in
1935 and he was nicknamed Scarface when got a scar after
a fight

about Al Capone when she says, “Business:
Bootlegging” He sold illegal merchandise.
7. On Pg. 14 paragraph 6 Piper starts telling Moose
about Al Capone when she says, “Favorite weapon:
Thompson machine gun.” He killed many people
with that gun.
8. On Pg. 15 paragraph 7 Theresa says, “There’s
Machine Gun Kelly” He's a famous kidnapper.

10. On Pg. 32 paragraph 6 when Moose asks his dad
what bracelets are, “Bracelets?” and his dad says,
“Handcuffs” That is old slang for handcuffs.
ACCURACY OF THE AUTHOR
1. On number one the author is very accurate
because the Tinker to Evers to Chance play was
very well known. On number two he was also
correct because back then two cents were worth
more. On number three he was also accurate
because when you look at the pictures it shows
them far from done. On number four he was right
because Bonnie and Clyde are old gangsters. Al
Capone was a real mob gangster. The author was
accurate for the rest of these
