The Tree
Written and Illustrated by

On a grassy little hill sat a lonely little tree.
But is it really lonely? Let’s look and see!
1 fuzzy CATERPILLAR is crawling up the tree.
Look all around
and find it
with me.
2 brown GRASSHOPPERS
are chirping in the grass.
Look quick and find them.
They are so fast!
3 colorful BIRDS are now flying by.
Look down low and
look up high!
4 BEES arebuzzing
by the flowersbelow.
Look you can see them
in the grass down low.
5 BUTTERFLIES
flutteraround the
treetop.
Will they flutter long
there or will they
stop?
6 ripe PEARS are
hanging from
the tree.
I don’t think that
it’s too lonely!
7 red ANTS are marching in a line.
Looking at this
tree there are many things to
find!
8 APHIDS are munching on a leaf that’s fallen down.
So many things to
count in the
tree and on the
ground.
