Description-Lípa achieve up to 30m.It has leaves like hearth.

Dub letní (Quercus robur)Occurrence-Dub has got one of the best woods for production. In Czechia it’s very widespread. But it is being replaced by spruce trees. Also dub is in national park Podyjí.

Description-Dub is sought for his good wood quality. It grows for centuries. The oldest is Oldřichův dub -1000 years old.

Tejo-Taxus baccataIt comes from the park of Sierra de Guadarrama. Some people call it ‘‘the tree of the live and the death’’.It’s located in montainous areas.

Castaño-Castanea sativaIt’s a fallen leaf tree, it comes from the park of Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche, it can be anywhere. It can be 25 meters tall and it can live 80 or 90 years.Its fruit is the chestnut.

Pine-PinusIt’s a evergreen tree, usually is 25 meters tall but it can be 40 meters. It’s located in the park of Sierra de Guadarrama.

Jedla biela-Abies alba Fraxinus

This is the highest tree in Slovakia. Tree reaches a height of 50 meters.

It is located in National Park Poloniny.

Lipa malolistá-Tilia CordataThe most beautiful tree in Slovakia is Lipa.Lipa is located in the Tatra national park (TANAP).This tree grows to a height of 40 meters.

Slovakia is Smrek oyčajný.Smrek has angular and spiky needles.It grows to the hight of 70 meters.

Pino canario (pinus canariensis) THE HIGHEST(Latin name)Is the highest tree in Canary Islands. Its trunk can reach more than 40m height and 2,5m diameter. Another very important feature is its resistance to fire.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, PALMERA CANARIA (phoenix canariensis) (Latin name)Natural symbol of the canary archipelago. It is a very long-lived specie, so much so that the highest specimens get to exceed two and perhaps three centuries old.

Drago (dracaena draco), THE OLDEST(Latin name)It is a tree from the ancient Aborigines, this tree had magical properties. In ancient Rome and in the Middle Ages it was also considered a magic tree. It is the only plant in the world whose sap is red and not white.
