A family that usesThe Peter Pan Nurs-ery for children withspecial needs haslaunched a newsupport and fund-raising group called‘Maximise’ to raisesignificant funds forthe charity theyaccess on a weeklybasis.Charlotte White, 31,and Matthew White,
33, from Madeley, were referred to The PeterPan Nursery last year when their son Max, then11 months old, was diagnosed with Syringomye-lia; a very rare condition which affects fluid onthe spine. Max also has Global DevelopmentDelays which means he needs specialised 1-2-1education and support in his early years.Matt and his friend Mark decided in 2013 thatthey would commence training for a 1000-milebike ride to raise money for the cause. ThisAugust (2nd), the pair will be travelling for 13days from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
In a bid to help Matt and Mark fundraise,Charlotte has launched a family and friends fund-raising group called ‘Maximise’. The firstfundraising event is to be held on 1st June, 11am-4pm at the Broughton Arms in Balterley, whichis a traditional fête and family fun day.The free to enter family fun day will include anumber of stalls, a bouncy castle, outdoor andindoor games, inflatable penalty shoot-outs,sweet and cake stalls and food and drinksprovided by the Broughton Arms.The Peter Pan Nursery is a charity that providesexcellent care and education to children withspecial needs from birth to five years of age.
