The Masters Message The time is here. The year has gone by so quickly and I couldn't be more proud of what the lodge has accomplished. We've made some lodge improvements, we've raised several men to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason, we've had great fellowship and to be sure, our share of issues to deal with. Your ocers dealt with those issues in a way that turned problems into positive opportunities. As I think about this past year and what it meant to be elected to the East, I am deeply moved at the brief time you have elected me to hold this oce, it is the highest honor. With the help of our Past Masters, instructors and all the help we have received we truly have had another great year. "

But what's next? Brothers, as I make the move to the South-East corner as your incoming Secretary, you have my word that I will continue to be there for whatever you may need. I will rededicate myself to serving the new ocers and the membership alike. Our progressive line is an exciting feature, which gives us leadership through a consistent oering of qualified men who will also dedicate themselves to the positive growth, fellowship and educational endeavors of this great fraternity and more especially , this lodge in particular. I will also continue my roll as the District Education Ocer and Grand Lodge Education Committee member, so if you have any questions, please do not

hesitate to reach out. I will take this last opportunity to say, that it has been my honor and privilege to serve as Master in 2014/20115. I know the successful things we have started will continue well into the future. We must not think of a year in the East as "my year", it must be thought of as one year, in the span of many which is building on the successes of previous years and moving forward with each succesive year, this is our lodge plan, our lodge culture and our key to continued success. Please do not hessitate to contact me via email at [email protected] or by phone at 714-615-7809."

    " That's all folks,"

!Grand Lodge Sessions Prologue This year at the Grand Lodge Sessions was an exciting one. Not much in the way of legislature

and book keeping, but we did have a great time and were proud to be present at the installation of

our new Grand master, Tony Cracco. Tony is a great guy with a great attitude about Masonry. I can tell you many brothers were impressed with his final words as he descended from the podium and spoke to the those in the crowds on the level. He pledged his dedication to the craft and all of us. Join the Ocers of this lodge in congratulating or new GM.Another great opportunity the brothers of Waukegan 78 had was to break bread with our brothers of Anchor and Ark 1027 at the traditional dinner (Started by WB Ed Keenan) at Saputo's Restaurant. We talked, we laughed and we just had a truly remarkable time. The relationship between our two lodges is absolutely critical to the success of Masonry in our area and I can tell you that if you have't visited our Brothers on Wednesday nights you're missing out. Waukegan wishes to give a hearty thanks to our brothers of 1027 for their excellent fellowship. "

!!!!!Waukegan has been busy all year. Between degree work and events, it's been non-stop. WB Michael Ruchti recently scored some Skybox Bulls tickets. He graciously extended the offer to let (on a first come first serve basis) 11 addition brothers attend the game. It was a great night indeed! Brothers from Waukegan were joined by David Truax, Michael Blasius, & Jay Reed of Rising Sun Lodge. Brother Dan Gentry of Milburn also attended the game. Our sincere thanks to WB Michael Ruchti for his generosity and for putting this together.

A changing of the guard.!It's been quite a long time, perhaps no one really knows but WB Donahue, how long he has been our Secretary. Through the years he has kept us between the lines and oered his counsel, advise and time. That last bit is so important. Time. We can't get it back and it's worth so much. WB Carl Donahue has wrought his hours in the quarries and he has requested a well deserved retirement. There are no words to express the gratitude we have for Bro. Carl. Please take a moment and thank him for his service, he will assuredly shoot you a look, maybe give a little smile and probably shake his head ;)Thank you for your service WB Carl B Donahue!

Waukegan Lodge 78 is forced to say "So long!"...!Not long ago, WB Terry Behling mentioned his intention to move to New Mexico. We knew the time was coming but tried not to think about it. WB. Terry has served Waukegan Lodge in a great many endeavors. Instruction, Counsel and who can forget his attempts to not pay the bills? ;)"

WB Terry is making one last stop in Waukegan and we will have the honor of having him serve as our Installing Secretary for the November 7th Installation of Ocers. Please join the lodge in congratulating WB Terry and his wife in their new move! "

    Thank you Brother Terry!"
