Jesus healed many who suffered!

The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.

-Matthew 4:24

Page 21: The Truth About Buddhism

The followers of Jesus taught about

anxiety…

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

-Philippians 4:6

Page 22: The Truth About Buddhism

Jesus taught His followers that worry &

stress would never add 1 day to their lives…

So do not worry about

tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day

has enough trouble of its own.

-Matthew 6:34

Page 23: The Truth About Buddhism

Can I have perfect/complete

wisdom?

Page 51: The Truth About Buddhism

Not if you want wisdom outside of following God’s

laws because that’s how sin came into our world!

When the woman saw that the tree was good for

food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and

that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she

took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her

husband with her, and he ate.

Genesis 3:6

Page 52: The Truth About Buddhism

And you can’t have perfect wisdom without Jesus!

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you

a spirit of wisdomand of revelation

in the knowledge of Him.

Ephesians 1:17

Page 53: The Truth About Buddhism

Because man’s wisdom makes a person look like a fool before the God of the

Universe!

For the wisdom of this world is

foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS.”1 Corinthians 3:19

Page 54: The Truth About Buddhism

Meditation is the practice of

centering oneself & clearing one’s

mind.

Meditation takes you into a

different reality or dimension.

Meditation involves breathing

practices, exercises, and/or

chanting.

Does the Bible teach about meditation?

Page 55: The Truth About Buddhism

Yes! But, meditation is prayer to God-either in your heart, via spoken

words, or singing to God!

Let the words of my mouth and the

meditation of my heart

Be acceptable in Your sight,

O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Page 56: The Truth About Buddhism

And, truly powerful meditation does NOT involve emptying your

mind…

The effective(energetic) prayer of a righteous man

can accomplish much.

James 5:16

Page 57: The Truth About Buddhism

Only one person ever emptied Himself…

(Christ) emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made

in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance

as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming

obedient to the point of death, even death on a

cross.Philippians 2:7-8

Page 58: The Truth About Buddhism

And He is the only One able to pass into another

dimension!

Therefore, since we have a great high

priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold fast our confession.

-Hebrews 4:14

Page 62: The Truth About Buddhism

Nothing! Karma originated in ancient India.

Page 63: The Truth About Buddhism

But the Bible does teach that you reap what you

sow…

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful

nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live

to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life

from the Spirit.

in what’s seen!

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because

you have seen me. Blessed are those

who believe without seeing me.”
