The Union Bank of India has announced its selection drive for 2473 posts of Probationary Officers for 2011. Similarly, the State Bank of India has also announced 2500 posts of Clerical staff to be filled through a written test and interview held on All India basis. 

Prof. Ziauddin Khairoowala, Director, Career and Counseling Cell, Residential Coaching Academy, Aligarh Muslim University said that for the post of Probationary Officer, the candidates should have a graduate degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for Reserved Category) and a Diploma in Banking & Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance along with a certificate in Computer Awareness and Office Automation for a duration of minimum 60 hours. 

Prof. Khairoowala said that the candidates for Probationary Officer should have qualified in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by IBPS and should be holding a valid score card issued by IBPS. 

The application can be made Online only by January 14, 2012. The Online Application is available on the website http://unionbankofindia.co.in.  

Prof. Khairoowala said that for the clerical vacancies at State Bank of India, candidates should be minimum XII passed with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks and a Graduation degree and should not be less than 18 years and more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 

The application can be submitted only Online by January 20, 2012 along with a fee of Rs. 350/‐ for OBC/General and Rs. 50/‐ for SC/ST/PWD/XS through the application available on the website www.statebankofindia.om or www.sbi.co.in . 

The selection will be made through a written test and interview taken together. 

Prof. Ziauddin Khairoowala has urged the students of the Aligarh Muslim University to apply for the above posts in large number and sincerely prepare for the written tests in General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing.
