The contest is open to students in grades K-12, with different traffic safety themes for each grade level category. Students in grades K–8 can submit a hand-drawn poster, while high school students in grades 9-12 can submit a hand-drawn or graphic arts/digitally enhanced poster, or a video public service announcement. Use a creative, catchy and original slogan to accompany your entry.

The goal of the poster program contest is to reduce traffic-related fatalities through education and community outreach. Through the program, students use creativity to share important traffic safety messages with their peers. Submissions are judged at the state level, and more than $4,000 in prize money is up for grabs.
