Choosing your modules
60 credits per semester, made up from: 3 x 20-credit modules (sometimes 10 credit modules also)
120 credits per year (over three years = 360 credits to graduate) Choose from:
• English core modules • English ‘approved’ (optional) modules • Faculty of Arts ‘approved’ modules • ‘Unrestricted’ modules, across the University
Choosing your modules
• Single Honours Literature students have two core modules (Lit 107 + Lit 108: 20 + 20 = 40 credits)
• You can also choose to take up to 4 other 20 credit English modules
• And/or you can take unrestricted modules
• Dual Honours Literature students have core modules in Literature and in their other subject (40 + 40 = 80 credits)
• You can also choose to take up to 4 other 20 credit English modules, and/or you can take unrestricted modules

Any student who has not already applied for a mentor is welcome to attend one of the mentoring program's drop in sessions, and sign up for a mentor. Alternatively, they can sign up at www.sheffield.ac.uk/mentoring or during the pre-registration online activities. These meetings are not for students who have already signed up for mentoring, as it is up to their Mentor to arrange a time to meet them. Drop-in sessions for mentors and mentees are all held in the Students’ Union during intro week. Students can apply at www.sheffield.ac.uk/mentoring or by coming to one of the sessions - the details are: Mon – Weds 10am - 5pm Gallery Room 4 (Level 4 – Students Union)
