Jesus continually met people where they lived, in the midst of their pain, crisis, and need. He blessed others by offering genuine love accompanied by divine truth. Through personal interactions with others and organized ministries of this congregation, we strive to follow Jesus’ example.
For instance, Allen and Jeanette Wiederstein are concluding a 13-week GriefShare course wherein they provided compassion and support to people who have lost loved ones. The Wiedersteins met people in their grief and shared the love and message of Christ with them.
Additionally, Mark and Patti Hamlin are wrapping up an 8-week Dynamic Marriage class tomorrow evening. By equipping couples with the tools to serve each other more effectively, the Hamlins are engaging people where they live.
Another opportunity will arrive in January as Neil Ferguson and other volunteers offer Financial Peace University. By providing relevant and biblical advice for managing finances, this course addresses the felt needs of many people and gives them a glimpse of God’s plan for their lives.
These, and many other, opportunities continually present themselves throughout the year. But you do not have to wait for a class or ministry event. Open your eyes to the people around you, meet them where they are, and share Jesus!
