ACE started a homecoming tradition of Battle of the Bands, which requires participants to have at least one UNCW student in the band. In addition, SGA funded a portable sound system and lighting available to student organizations for use within the Campus Life spaces. ACE utilized all student bands for the Concert on the Common series in the amphitheater in fall 2016.

ACE introduced the Homecoming Trunk Show in 2015 to get students involved with more spirited ventures on campus, replacing the parade and creating a new tradition in which organizations are brought into one spirited community space for grilling, decorating their car and getting excited for the Homecoming basketball game. ACE increased marketing around traditional events such as Teal Tuesday, Hawk-in, Last Seahawk Standing, Midnite Madness/Fan Jam, the All Student Show and Festapalooza.

Sharky’s Game Room and Box Office was renovated in 2016 to include 4 square tables to create better table top gaming options, 2 new 4K televisions for optimal gaming on the new Xbox One S. The game room also increased to 4 Xbox One stations for tournament-style play.
