PROLOGUE

I stood there, staring back at her. What was she doing here? How did she get here? The

possible reasons eluded me at the moment. I had questions. Many of them, in fact, but how

would I know if shes telling the truth? If she even remembers what happened, or how it

happened. Only one way to find out

I walked to her slowly, trying not to startle her, and then stood directly in front of her.

When I raised my hand to touch her face she flinched.

Im sorry, I didnt mean to I began to apologize but she interrupted me.

Theyre cominghere. You have to run theyre coming! she cried.

I know. I said wearily.

They kept saying The Red Eyed QueenI saw hershe looked human the rest were

some kind ofcreatures. She whispered barely coherent before her legs gave out and she

collapsed into my arms.

CHAPTER ONE

The Blue Eyed Girl

Why are you doing this to me Cassidy? Im sorry and you know that.right?

My sister Cassidy was angry with me again today. What did I ever I do to herbesides

borrow here stuff? This time I think its because I lost her favorite earrings. It wasnt evenmy

fault. I had them in my ears when she saw them and she jumped me. It wasnt my fault they flew

off; she could have just asked me for them. But she said I shouldnt have had them in the first

place. Whatever! So now she says shes going to get an apartment. Boy is she glad shes old

enough.

Ashley Cordelia Silvers, where is my red skirt? Cassidy shouted from her room.

I dont have it, I swear. I shouted back.

I really didnt have it that time but if I did I wouldnt have said so. I wouldnt want her

jumping me again. My sister was so lame. She used to think that monopoly really helps you plan

for life. As if a dog could buy a utility, come on. Shes always studying and doing the good girl

thing. Boring!

Im Ashley, as you might have figured, everyone loves me. I just turned fifteen. I was

the most popular girl in my old school but Im off to high school now. Im blondenot

stupidand I have strange blue eyes.The rest of my familys eyes are brown, but mine...with no

exaggerationglow. Not sometime but always.Some people described them as magical because

they tend to glitter a little. But my grandfather had these eyes, and so did his grandfather

apparently. But my grandfather died when I was eight years old.

Cassidy finished packing an hour later and headed off to her new apartment. Meanwhile I

was bored to tears in the house alone. Mom went to work and dad went fishing with my little

brother Emmett. So I was left watching television which, by the way, had nothing fun on it. So I

decided to have fun cleaning out the house. Yeahright! I actually went to the movies with my

friend Julie. Julie Bottleeny was my best friend in the whole wide world. I met her in pre-school

as we fought over the blue crayon. I wanted to draw my eyes but it turned out that she wanted to

draw my eyes too. So I reconciled with the orange crayon so I could draw her hair. We have

been friends ever since. But now we were forced to go our separate ways. Her mom and dad

were wealthy so they didnt think that my new high school was good enough for Julie. Instead

they decided to move to Los Angeles even though they only got rich a year ago. Well, I guess

that Mr. Bottleeny was good at his job so he should keep them that way. But that meant that this

weekend would be our last weekend together and Id be lonely at school on Monday.

Now, even though I was the one with the glowing, blue eyes, Julie was mostly the eye

catcher. I always wore shades as much as I could when I went out but Julie couldnt hide that

longhair of hers. Note my emphasis on long. She had creamy peach toned skin, big silvery gray

eyes and her hair was full, curly, fire red and reaching about ten inches below her waist. Who

could compete with that? My hair was only half way down to my elbow.

We got to the movies about ten minutes early since we didnt know which movie we

wanted to see yet. We decided to watch an old movieAvatarbecause we knew that we only

wanted to talk and say our goodbyes. So we sat waiting for the movie to start.

Ashley, have you decided what you are going to wear? You know, for your first day of

high school? Julie asked.Fashion was always a fun topic

No I havent. I figured Id do that tomorrow. Youknow, to pass the time of being lonely

here without you. But thats the question I should ask you. Youre the one going to L.A. so what

are you going to wear?

I know, I know. She sighed. Im going to shop in L.A. so I could have their fashion.

But you know I have it under control like I always do.

Wish I could say the same for your hair. Your hair is beautiful but what are you going to

do with it. Its so long,Repunzel. You dont have to cut it, I guess, but

But whatAshley? she asked in an annoyed tone. She always did this when it came to

her hair. She loved her hair and cutting it wasnt an option for her.

I sighed, Forget I said anything Julie. Youll be just fine in the heat of Los Angeles with

knee length hair. I said sarcastically.

Your right, she conceited. Id have to find out if a hair dresser there could handle my

hairbut only to braid itno cutting

Works for me; come on, the movie is about to start.

We went into Avatar and there were only five people there. And so we began our

goodbyes.

The next morning, Saturdaythe one before school, I had a whole day planned. I didnt

usually plan but Julie was leaving for Los Angeles today. So I got ready and headed downstairs

for breakfast. To my appreciation mom was already dressed too. But every good has a bad. My

annoying little brother was coming along. Emmett was nine years old, short, with big front teeth,

blonde hair and brown eyes. He was born to annoy me so my life wouldnt be as easy going as

its supposed to. My family was basically a bunch of brown eyed blondeswith the exception of

me of course.

We lived in the small town of Chesterville so we drove to the so called mall as small as

it was. I had already shopped for my new school outfits but now it was time to buy my perfect

first days outfit. And then to fill out my day I would have a long lunch with my mom and

brother and then spend the night at Cassidys place. I finally gother to agree to have me over for

the first time.

The minute we got to the mall I threw my shades on and I was off to the first store. There

were some impressive clothes in these stores.

In the end I had the cutest outfit evera pink, short skirt with white and gray plaid lines

and thin pleats, high socks and gray flats with a small pink bow on top each. And that was just

the bottom half of my outfit. The top half was a white top with pink trimmings, a grey fitted

blazer and two pink bows to hold my hair backand I almost forgot the small pair of

sophisticated shades to hide my eyes. Its going to be perfect all of it.

CHAPTER TWO

The Green Eyed Boy

After a long shopping day, I finally had what I wanted; so much so that I decided to take

Emmett to the toy store. Mom gave him some money and we headed over. Inside the store was

small with only three short isles. Toys were everywhereof courseand there was a jaunty

little tune coming from the speakers on the ceiling. Emmett ran off to take a look while I just

strolled around. I turned into an isle; not watching where I was goingit was so quite that I

figured that there werent any other customersand bumped into someone. A Barbie doll box

fell out from their hands.

Oh sorry! I apologized, immediately dropping to the floor to pick up the box. Inside

the box, next to the Barbie, was a mirror. In that mirror I saw the reflection of the most

remarkable male face I have ever seen. He had the Damon Salvator hair and the Edward Cullen

smile. His expression was playful at the time. Even though the rest of his face was beautiful, that

wasnt what caught my attention the most. It was his eyesthey were bright green, like a really

healthy lawn in the bright summer sun. But not only that! His eyes werent just bright, they were

almost glowing too. In fact, they were just like minebut green.

Hey, are you okay down there? he asked after a moment, his heavenly voice coming

from behind the semi-circle of his perfect pearly white teeth.

Yeah, I am. I answered shaking my head to make myself focus. As I got up my shades

fell off, I must have shaken them loose. He gasped and I quickly retrieved my shades from the

floor.

Is something wrong? I asked casually.

No, your eyes just surprised me. Ive never met someone with eyes like mine before.

Except that yours are blue and much, much prettier.

Thanks. I said with my cheeks burning. Neither have I.

Wow I think Im in love.

We were just staring at each other nownever knew that staring was so refreshing. Then

I heard Emmett. Damn! Leave it to him to ruin my moment.

Hey wheres the guy who works here? he shouted from the front counter. Thats when I

saw the guysshirt, he worked here. His uniform was all greeneven the pants. Weird

Who the heck is working here? Emmett yelled again.

Emmett shut up! I yelled back.

The boy was staring at me still, as if he hadnt heard Emmett shouting. Hey greenie, my

brother needs you. I said tapping his shoulder.

Oh. He shook his head and started walking towards the counter. I followed. So is it

only my eyes you see? he asked Because my name isnt greenie, its David. David Marsters.

He went behind the counter and took the action figure my brother was holding.

Hey kid, do you want another one of these, its on me? David offered Emmett.

Sure, thanks! Emmett exclaimed.

Dont thank me, thank Ashley.

My name sounded so much better when he said it. When Emmett went to get another

action figure, David handed me a small toy locket.

And heres something for you. he said.

I opened it and there was bright blue and green swirly lip-gloss in it. My face burned red

againand I put it in my pocket.

Thanks. I said and he winked.

I left with Emmett after he retrieved his toys saying bye to David. Then we met mom

outside the store and went to get something to eat. Cassidy had decided to join uswhich was

really good because she had a car. We could just go straight to her place afterwards.

She laughed. I took myself on a tour of the place. There was one master bedroom and a

guest bedroom, a bathroom in the master bedroom, a bathroom in the hall, a hallof course, a

living room and finally a kitchen. She didnt even unpack yetexcept her bed. Now I knew why

she agreed to have me over.

Spending the night with Cassidy was great. We unpacked for most of the night but we

had fun anyway. After unpacking we had ice cream and we watched TV. I couldnt even

remember when I fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning to find Cassidys face right over mine.

Ahhh, Cassidy! What the heck? I exclaimed.

Hi sis, guess what?

I was thinking about your perfect outfit that you showed me yesterday and realized that

you forgot to get the perfect earrings for them. She continued as if I wasnt trying to ignore her.

Youre right! I gasped, flying right back up into my seated position.

But dont worry because I took care of it. I have the perfect earrings for your outfit.

See? she held out her hand and there was a pair of beautiful silver earrings with a small

diamond dropping from the stud of each. There was also a matching necklace with a little silver

bow pendant. Apparently I forgot that too. Damn, Julie would never have let me forget those.

Oh mythank you, thank you, and thank you. Cassidy youre the best!

Awww I know.

After spending half of Sunday with Cassidy, watching TV and telling her about David, it

was time to go home. It was kind of sad to leave, but when I got home, all I could think about

was school. I just wanted Monday to start.

My alarm went off at precisely six a.m. and my eyes flew open.

Monday morning. I said to myself when I woke up and I let out a heavy sigh. There

was no sleep left in me anymore because there wasnt any room for anything more than

excitement. It was the first day of high school with entirely new people. Now I had to get ready

for this new stage in life, for new connections. Abruptly, I was painfully nervous. What if I

didnt make any connections? Im a fairly connectable personbut what if? Then Id be a lonely

nerd or geek or something! Id have to be quiet while the cheerleaders pick on me and peer

pressure would force me to not tell my authorities about it. Yes, Id have to carry theirbooks.

Ahhh. Ive watched enough teen movies about High School and cheerleaders.

My heart was beating rapidly while it started to sink in. I took four very deep breaths to

sturdy myself. I thought about it some moremaybe I was being ridiculous. Yeah, thats it, I

was being ridiculous.

Okay Ashley, calm down. I told myself.

There was suddenly a knock on my door that it startled me so violently that I fell off my

bed.

Ashley, get dressed and come down for breakfast. You dont want to be late. Mom

said.

Okaymom. I groaned as I got off my face.

I took a nice warm bath, got dressed in my Perfect-for-my-first-day-of-high-school outfit

and went downstairs for breakfast.

Oh honey, you look so cute with that outfit! mom said as I walked into the kitchen.

Thanks I beamed.

Finally, after all the waiting at home, I was here in front of my new school. Mom had just

driven off and I was now gazing at the beauty of the school. It was massive, way bigger than my

last one and so pretty with the contrast of the white walls and the healthy green plants with their

red, yellow and pink flowers.

While I was staring someone bumped into me and just continued walking. How impolite.

I shook my head and walked into the building. Wow! The inside was just as massive and

beautiful as the outside. But I didnt have time to stare for long, as I soon found out. The bell

rang and I wasnt even in class yet!

I struggled to get my class schedule out of my bag as the hallways emptied. I finally got it

out and saw that my first class was in room 314. I was near room 014! Great.. Then someone

bumped into meagain.

Hey, dont you people say excuse me? I said as I turned to see who it was. I probably

shouldnt have said that.

I dont know about thosepeople but my name is Principal Dona Gee. And you Ms.

He prompted for my name.

Ashley Silvers. I saidimmediately.

Ms. Silvers, you are late for class. He finished.

I II I stuttered, too terrified of getting detention on my first day to speak properly.

Its okay Ms. Silvers;we always get a stray freshman on the first day. Just dont make it

a habit. He said smiling.

Great. Which class do you have now?

Ah... Chemistry, very goodI was on my way to Biology to give a note to a teacher in

room 315. If my memory serves me correctly, Chemistry is in room 314.

I nodded.

Would you deliver this note to Mrs. Barley of Biology please? he asked politely, taking

a note from his pocket. I took it.

Okay sir, uh, which way

He pointed at the stairs before I finished my question for directions. I nodded again and

headed up the stairs. I followed the numbers on the doors. On each floor the first numbers on the

door were 110, 210 and 310. When I got to the third floor I followed the doors from 310 going

down the hall. When I was at room 313 I could hear the biology teacher calling the roll.

Kess Kane she called.

Before the next person could answer I was running toward the Biology classroom. I

slowed down at the door and stared in. And there he was. Two rows across from the door and

sitting in the back of the classroom was David; his eyes still very much clear and bright from this

distance.

Present someone said but it wasnt him. It wasa girl with such a high pitched voice.

Two octaves too high!

Thats when I realized that there was girl clinging to his arm. Their seats were pushed

together. She was blonde with grey-blue eyes and she was wearing a cheerleading uniform.

You got your chance to answer Ms. Whitney, said the teacher. Why dont you let

David answer for himself?

I cleared my throat then and knocked on the door. Everyone looked at me, including

David and Whitney. David smiled at me but Whitney grimaced.

Yes, may I help you? Mrs. Barley asked.

Uh, yes, Principal DonaGee told me to give this to you.

Oh. Thank you Ms. She also prompted for my name.

Silvers I told her.

Ms. Silvers. She finished.

I smiled politely and handed her the note. Then I threw David one last look and went to

Chemistry as fast as I could.

When I walked in to the Chemistry classroom the teacher gave me a look and said,

You are tardy. in a weird accent.

As if I didnt already know that.

In the future, she continued please do not be late Ms. She prompted for my name.

Ms. Silvers. She finished.

Sorry, Principal DonaGee had me deliver a note for him. I wont be late again Mrs..

Fletcher

Mrs. Fletcher I repeated. Great now I was doing it too.

I quickly found a place to sit.

Lunchtime came and I sat in the cafeteria with my two new friends Lessie and Emily. I

had met them in Spanish class. They never saw my eyes because I only took my shades off to

readkeeping my head down and hiding behind my hairand then I put them back on. They

probably thought that I was freaky, but they hung out with me anyway. Besides, we had all our

morning classes together.

At the popular table I could see David staring at me. I stared back and he winked. Then

he nodded to the hallway, getting up. I followed slowly as he walked into the halls. As soon as I

entered he grabbed my hand and started running. We ran to the other side of the hall and into the

janitors closet.

Whatare you doing? Are you afraid to be seen with me or something? I asked.

No wayyoure beautiful, Id show you off. He said and I rolled my eyes.

Then what are we doing here?

Were here because Im afraid to be seen doing this.

This? What this? I asked a little startled.

Look, Ive been thinking about you since you left the toy store. Ive been thinking about

our eyes and why yours are just like mine. I think that I should show you this.

Okayhold this pencil in the palm of your hand and say these words. He said handing

me a piece of paper.

I held the pencil in my flat palm and said the words on the paper.

By my power, by my glow, make it float? I said in the form of a question.

Wow I knew it. Youre a Wicca! He said.

A what? Whats a Wicca?

Its a good witch. By saying the first six words of that spell you can make certain stuff

happen.

But I didnt do anything. The pencil is still in my hand. Its not floating or anything.

Its notbut we are!Please dont freak out.

I looked down and we were a few inches off the ground. I cant freak out right now

David, Im still in shock.

Oh my! This is not right. Is this really happening?

How do I get down from here? I asked.

Just concentrate. He answered.

I concentrated on the ground and fell to my feet. I looked up at him but I didnt know

what to think or how to feelso I ran.

I slowed down at the cafeteria doors and walked over to my friends. The rest of that day

went by quickly. I would have to study to make up for the classes I missed. I was there but my

mind was far.

When I got home later that day I greeted my dad and gave Emmett a scowl and went to

my room. I lay down on my bed staring at the roof.

What happened in that closet at school today stays in that closet. It wasnt real Ashley, it

wasnt real I kept repeating that to myself for five minutes, trying to make it sink in. Then I

heard a knock on my door. I couldnt remember closing it. I got up to go open it but it wasnt

closed. Then I heard the knocking again. But no one was at the door. Then I realized that it was

coming from inside my closet. I walked over to it slowly opening the door.

Shhh Davidwhispered.

But a loud scream escaped my lips anyway as I jumped two steps backward.

What are you doing here? How did you get in here? I gasped.

Just like this.By my power, by my glow, let me go where I want to go. And he was

gone.

How? he asked from behind me. I screamed loudly again.

Stop it David. I already convinced myself that this isnt real.

Nothing I just saw a spiderits gone now. Im gonna take a nap.

I went back to my room and quickly closed my door after making sure mom went back

downstairs.

my cell phone in my hand. My phone appeared suddenly and I gasped. David rolled his eyes.

Its really weird that I dont have to make these spells rhyme.

Justcome on. He held my hand and the same way he disappeared we were in a park. I

didnt even have time to think. I felt as if we didnt evenmove. We didnt.

You didnt say a spell. I said in awe.

I dont have to. Ive been doing this since I was five years old. Spells are just training

wheels.

CHAPTER THREE

LMN

We walked until we were under the cover of some shade trees and we sat on the grass. I

stared at him for a moment as he floated his pencil in silence.

Okay David, what are you. Are you a Wicca too?

He laughed, Of course not, Wiccans are girlsIm a Warlock.

You have to explain this to me.

I can show you better that I can tell you. He said and before I could think I was

standing in a blank room. The whole thing was white with nothing in it. Then colours began to

appear. I was alone there but I didnt mind because the colours turned into pictures and Davids

voice echoed through it all.

Ashley, you are in my imagination. Just relax and watch this. This will both show and tell

you the story.

Some thousands of years ago our families were born, three baby boys with strange

eyesglowing blue, green and red. In those times any abnormalities in a child meant that they

were cursed or children of witches. The babies were each born on the same day. They had three

No Ashley, they didnt know. My Granddad told me all the stories and showed me my

magic. He told me to never tell my parents. My dad doesnt even know.

I remember some of my grandfathers stories but they were fairytales to me. How did

you do that mind thing?

Youll learn. I can teach you some basic stuff but youstill have to use the spells. There

are rules though. You cant do anything about love, you can try but it doesnt work, you cant

use it to cheat or for revenge. Again, you can try but it doesnt work, not directly anyway. And

most importantly, you cannot let any non-magical creature see you use magic

Its simple just say the first six words and what you want to happen. Summoning things

are easy but the bigger they are the more power it takes and you could get tired so you cant use

magic all day. I canbut like I said, Ive been doing this for a long time.

Okay so no summoning cars and, my own personal rule, no stealing, only summon my

stuff. Lets test it out. Turn around let me change my outfit.

You know youll just blink into them right?

I guessbut still. He rolled his eyes and turned around. By my power, by my glow,

make me wear what I want to wear. And just like that I was changed into my gray skinny jeans

and purple T-shirt. Yes it worked!

David turned back around. Of course it did. Now lets get you back home, its getting

late.

But you have to say the actual spell first for now.

this.

disappeared.

At school the next day David was waiting for me in the janitors closet. We were really

early since we had agreed to flash in at 7:30. We went to the school gym to practice my spells.

Apparently I had to learn to phrase them exactly right so I didnt mess up. I knew what he meant

by that. Last night I said give me some milk and it came without a glass, then I had to summon

the mop. So we did my practice and then we went to our classes. At lunch I sat with Lessie and

Emily and David sat with Whitney. How I loathed that Whitney. Stupid cheerleader!

After Lessie, Emily and I ate we went outside to the school garden to relax. A few

seconds after I sat down I heard a chime in my ear.

Uhguys I have to go do something. I said.

You mean you have to go meet that hot David? asked Emily.

Maybe I said and we chuckled. I walked quickly into the girls bathroom since I

didnt know where David was and said,By my power, by my glow, take me there.

Hey David whats up?We were in the janitors closet again.

Nothing much, I just wanted to tell you something.

Ohdo I need more practice?

No. This is about us. I guess you know by now that I dont only like youbecause we

both have powersbut I like being your friend.

Great, but I dont just want to be your friend. I think that youre beautiful and

talentedI just thought I should tell you.

I stood there for a long while. I didnt know what to say.

I laughed. I like you too but weve only known each other for a few days.

And yet we have a lot in common. Besides were practically already friends thanks to

our grandparents. We can get to know each other more. My mom wants me to clean the attic.

Id love to. Youdhave to tell my mom though.

Umsureno problem. He said even though he seemed nervous.

Dont worry, she wont bite. Ill call her first and explain.

Later that day David and I flashed to my house. I opened the door and mom was in the

living room.

Ash, Cassidy wants you to come over for the night but its a school nightcan you

handle it?

Yeah mom, David can take me there after we finish cleaning out his attic.

Oh yeah, David. Lets see him.

We walked back to the door where David stood. They greeted each other and shook

hands. Mom almost freaked out when she saw his eyes. He didnt try to hide his like I did.

Finally David and I were off to his house. You know, after my mom called his mom to make

sure everything was legit; the whole embarrassment detail from the parents guide.

Davids house was beautiful. We went in, David dragging me by the hand, and greeted

his mother. She was so pretty. David looked a lot like her. She had brown hair and brown eyes.

His dad was at work.

Hi, this must be Ashley. His mom said.

Yeah I am, nice to meet you Mrs. Marsters. I said.

Oh honey, you dont have to hide your eyes around me. David told me that they were

like his.

I took off my little shades and she gasped.

Mom! David complained.

Is something wrong? I askeda little self-conscious .

No. Its just that your eyes are a lot more overwhelming than Davids. Wow they are

beautiful.

Oh, thank you.I smiled.

David, who was still holding my hand, started pulling me up the stairs. We went straight

clothes when we were done and headed to Cassidys place. We walked pass his mother so she

could see us leave and then we were at Cassidys apartmentin a literal blink of an eye. I

knocked.

Hey Ash, Cassidy said when she answered the door. Whos this?

Thats David.

Oh,David? she asked with annoying exaggeration.

Cassidy, would you please be cool for once. I complained.

Fine. Come on in guys.

We went in and sat on the couch. I needed to find a way to get my sister out for a while. I

went to the kitchen and open the cupboard.

Hey there isnt any cereal here. Then I opened the fridge. Or any milk. Whats up with

I opened the book again. There were a lot of things about this dimension. I guess it

should since thats the name of the book. A few pages in, I got to the spells. The spells wasnt

what I expected. There were stuff like weapon spells and protection spells not love spells and

Cool portal spells! I exclaimed. There are two of them but their names are in that

strange language.

How can you read that?

I dont know what it means but my grandfather thought me this alphabet just before he

died. The letters are pronounced just like ours but with some minor changes.

But before she could get any further than the door frame it started to swirl really quickly

I dont know what to do. My spells arent working.

And then she was gone and everything was back to normal. Tears ran down my face.

The Wizard World

I was flat on my back on Cassidys floor now; still discombobulated and in shock. David

was gone now. He flashed out as soon as my sister disappeared an hour ago. What have I gotten

myself into? I tried summoning him but he didnt come. I started to think about what to do but I

didnt know enough about magic. And what was I going to dotell mom that Cassidy got

sucked into a portal? I dont think so. At least Cassidy didnt live with us so I had time to find

David and do something. How could David do this to me anyway? I was so angry with him now

I could just punch him in the face. Im never using magic again.

Ashley! Thank God youre still here. David said breathlessly when he appeared over

me.

Oh my gosh David Im so glad youre back. I got off the floor and gave him a hug; so

much for the punch in the face. I dont know what to do.

I know. Im sorry that I didnt explain but I had to find a way to the Wizard World.

Grandpa always said that if something went too wrong, the Wizard World elders would know

what to do. I had to go find his book with the spell

I cant, we have to find your sister and only magic can do that. You can quit magic after

we find her. I know that this is entirely my fault.

Youre right it is. But I have to help my sister still.I sighed.

Good, we have to get to the Wizard World but its not easy. We need more power than

we have individually. We have to join our powers. We can learn that from this book.

I sighed I thought magic would eliminate all this book learning. Why cant we just use

the normal first six words?

Because those are only for personal spells. Big spells are different. By the

wayuhhow did you send me away like that, wow, it felt weird. Ive never done that before.

I just figured it should work.

The Wizard World book was amazing to read. There were the widest varieties of spells

that needed so much power and skill. There were even things that were required for the spells to

work. Rocks, plants, spices and even weather but there was no time to really explore the book. It

took a while to find the right spell but it was worth it.

Great, now lets hurry, we dont have timeto be excited. said David.The power

joining spell: All parties must sit in a circle with a lit white candle in the middle while holding

hands. Recite together: We all need our powers combined, so we can do what we desire, bind our

souls and bind our minds, so we can finally bind our power.

We did exactly what the book said and as soon as we finished saying the spell, there was

a glow around both of us for two seconds.

Okay, David said Ill say the next spell; to the place where our powers hold, take us to

the wizard world.

Wow, that little spell took both our powers?

Yeah and since I said it, Im the one whos feeling it. Im a little dizzy.

We didnt just flash into the Wizard World, there was actually a portal. It was like a

really bright, swirling tunnel that we had to walk through. Way different than that evil looking

portal that took Cassidy. It didnt take long though. As soon as we walked into it we could see

the other side. The Wizard World wasnt like I expected. I thought it would bejust like our world

but with everyone flashing around and stuff. But the place was so medieval. Like an episode of

Merlin or something. How lame. We were standing on a dirt road now watching horses and

carriages pass by.

We started walking up the dirt road even though we didnt know where we were going. I

guess we didnt think this through. We only knew that we were looking for the elders. About five

minutes of walking we decided to ask for directions. We stopped, looking for someone to ask,

Whats wrong? David asked.

I-I think thats Julie over there. I answered.

Julie? Whos Julie?

I ignored his question and started walking towards the girl.

knew Julies face when I saw it. That was definitely her. And she was using magic!

By my power, by my glow, Julie Bottleeny.I said and a few seconds later she appeared.

My eyes widened. Impossible! Wait, what was I saying? Nothing was impossible

anymore. So my best friend Julie was a Wicca like me. But that doesnt explain why shes so

good with magic.

Julie? What are you doing? I asked her.

Nothing, Im just strolling throughthe wizard world. No big.

oil paintings on the walls going straight around the room. Each was a portrait of a different

person in the sequence of green, blue and red eyes. Our ancestors I imagined. All were men,

except for the last one. She had red eyes.

Not five minutes had passed before Julie reappeared. She stood in front of huge,

exquisitely carved double doors that were at least twenty feet tall. It was about half as tall as the

The elders. Julie announced.

The doors started to slowly open. The aged, rusty hinges howled and groaned as they

protested; they obviously havent been used in ages. The doors opened widely into another, just

as large room, and three men walked out. And just like the Wizard World, the men were not

what I expected. How did the word elders apply to them? They werent as senescent as I

thought they would be. In fact, they were very young, not to mention handsome. Some might

even say dreamy. They wore black soft pants, white shirtsunbuttoned half way down exposing

their perfect chestsand long black cloaks reaching all the way down to their Italian leather

shoes. They looked like such gentlemen.

I stared in awe as they came closer to us. Then one of them spoke, a deep mesmerizing

voice.

Ive waited a long time to meet you Ashley, He said. Holding his right hand out, I

shook it. I am Alexander. He had short, sort of spiky blonde hair.

Ive been waiting a long time to meet you too David. said another elder, I am

Damien. he shook Davids hand. His hair was short and black.

Its a pleasure to meet you sir. David said.

Im afraid I have no one to look forward to, this generation, but its an absolute delight

to meet you two, the third elder said. He had long blonde hair. I am Vladimir.

My head snapped up searching for Vladimirs eyes. Ive heard these names before. His

eyes werent as bright as ours so I walked closer to him. He stood still, staring back at me with a

smug expression on his face. Id seen the eyes of the other elders, Alexanders were blue and

Damiens were green. But they were just as normal as any humans eyes. But as I stared into

Vladimirs eyes I could see that they were red, a very dull red. From far they looked almost

brown.

What happened to you guys? I asked in a soft voice.

What do you mean Ashley? Alexander asked in a tone that was almost proud.

You were born with glowing eyes. Youre our ancestors arent youthe first trinity?

Yes, we are.

But youre all so young.

Alexander chuckled. Yesour mothers casted a spell on us before they died. It was so

we would stay at the age of twenty-five forever in order for us to protect the world. But we had

found out, forty years later that we lost our glow when our grandsons became worthy to protect

the world. The same thing happened to our grandsons when theirgrandsons were worthy. But

our sons, grandsons and other descendants aged as expected and die. Though it is nice being

young and vibrant, weve suffered a great deal watching our loved ones die. It was hardest to live

without our wives. But we use our knowledge here helping the Trinity to be.

But you still have your powers right? Why cant you still protect the world? I asked.

Yes we do. Vladimir answered. But we believe in destiny and we know what we are

destined to do. It becomes your destiny to protect when your grandparents glow has gone.

Ourgrandparentsare dead David said, kind of harshly.

in shame.

You must have had a grave reason to seek us out before we summoned you. Damien

I suddenly remembered Cassidy. I was so caught up in everything else that I almost

forgot. My expression fell at the same time that Alexanders did.

How did this happen? he gasped.

What? I asked, confused.

Then I was in a white room like the one David had me in a few days ago. The colours

came and I saw a replay of Cassidy being sucked into the portal. Then he started going through

my memories backward. When he got to Davids attic he paused when the book of LMN

appeared in my hands. He gasped again and I was back in the normal. I saw everyone else focus

again too. They must have seen that.

You have the book? Alexander asked inshock.

Yes we do.David answered pulling the book out of his backpack. It suddenly flew into

Vladimirs hand and he disappeared with it. Where did he go? David demanded, moving

towards the place where Vladimir was.

his hand on Davids shoulder. Hell be back in a moment.

David relaxed and we all waited for Vladimir to return.

This scroll was left on my desk the day that Crymson escaped into the dimension. He

said when he was back. It says Ill be back for Earth with this date. This is the day after

tomorrow. We thought she took the book with her so we couldnt even try to plan to stop her.

Now that we have the book we have to stop her ourselves. The young ones arent

ready. Alexander said. David and I were about to protest but then Damien spoke before us.

Yes, we have to train. He agreed with Alexander. And they all flashed out. In the same

instance Julie appeared.

We have to go back to earth now. The elders will take care of everything. She said.

What do you mean go back? We have to help. David argued.

No David, its getting dark and your mother will be waiting for you soon.

But

Look. The elders dont want you here disturbing their training.

A portal to earth suddenly opened behind her. She gestured for us to go first. There was

really nothing we could do. Julie was right, our parents would be worried if we stayed here

another day to help. As much as I wanted to, I was supposed to be home tomorrow evening after

school and David has to be home tonight. I sighed and took Davids hand, pulling him towards

the portal.

The Return

The next morning I woke up in a haze. I automatically scanned the room for Julie. She

wasnt on the extra mattress next to the bed. I walked out to the living room to find her sitting on

the couch with David. They were sitting face to face having a conversation. It made me a little

jealous that they were sitting so close to each other but I brushed off the feeling. It made me feel

better when I got close enough to realize that they were arguing.

No David, Julie said in an irritated voice. We are not to interfere with the elders

plan.

But they said it themselves Julie, argued David. Its our destiny.

We have no idea whether Crymson lost her glow yetgreen eyed one.

Yes, we do. He agreed.

Cant you see that were talking here? Whitney asked harshly.

Why are you two going into the janitors closet? she asked.

Why do you think? David asked smiling diabolically. Then I made some kissing

noises at her.

Im gonna tell ateacher. She claimed.

What are you, five? I said and then shut the closet door in her face. Let her tell, its not

like we were going to be there when she got back.

We flashed to the park. There was no one in that area so we could train there. We

plopped down on the grass and laughed.

Did you see her face? David laughed.

Yeah. I said laughing too.

Are you done? Julie asked. We hadnt seen her flash in. She was holding weapons.

You guys need to train.

So you finally agree with us huh? David asked.

No but Im your watcherandyourbest friend, she interjected. So I guess I have to

help. She dropped the weapons on the ground. Then she picked up two crossbows from the

bunch. Okay, these crossbows are the most effective weapons and all you have to do is learn

how to aim them right. These crossbows have telescope sight so you may have the element of

surprise on your side. Ashley youre up first. Ive set up some targets a few yards away. Aim

with the telescope sight and fire.

I took a deep breath and took the crossbow. The target was kind of far but it seemed right

in front of me when I looked through the telescope sight. I had to hold it with both hands the first

few times but after a while I was getting so good that the arrows were starting to hit in the middle

of the target. David was much better than I was. He started holding it with one hand and he

hardly even had to look through the telescope sight.

We trained until the end of lunch, then after school, straight into after dark. Julie put up a

few balls of light on different trees surrounding us in the park. From far they looked like really

bright lanterns. We trained until we were sure that we were ready. Mom had let me sleep over at

Cassidys again. It was really hard to sleep but I needed it. When would the elders leave to go

find her and Cassidy?

I was in Cassidys room now while Julie was in the extra bedroom; and David, who had

convinced his parents to let him sleepover somehow, was in the living room. I couldnt stop

running through disasters that could happen tomorrow in my mind. There were so many

Ashley? I heard David call as he knocked on the door.

Its open. I answered.

I cant sleep, Im too anxious. He said as he came to sit next to me on the bed.

He sighed and then held my face between both of his palms. Then he stared into my eyes.

We are, I know we are. He said leaning closer.

Then there was a knock on the door.

Eh hem. Julie cleared her throat and my cheeks flushed.

Hey, Julie. I said as David dropped his handsfrom my face. She was grinning at us.

Goodnight. David and I said together, though his tone was more irritated than sincere.

I guess its time to go to sleep now. I said.

YeahI better go get my bed ready in the living room. He got up and started to leave

but stopped. He turned back and gave me a quick kiss on my forehead. Goodnight, Ashley.

Goodnight. I said almost to myself as he left the room.

The next morning when I woke up I walked over to Julies room. She wasnt there. Why

does she always notbe where I left her? So I turned to go to the living room to find David.

When I got there I let out a loud gasp. I couldnt believe my eyes. Julie and David

werent in the living roombut someone was

Cassidy? I asked in a shocked whisper.

She was looking at the floor, looking so weak. Then her head snapped up when she heard

my voice.

I stood there, staring back at her. What was she doing here? How did she get here? The

possible reasons eluded me at the moment. I had questions. Many of them, in fact, but how

would I know if shes telling the truth? If she even remembers what happened, or how it

happened. Only one way to find out

I walked to her slowly, trying not to startle her, and then stood directly in front of her.

When I raised my hand to touch her face she flinched.

Im sorry, I didnt mean to I began to apologize but she interrupted me.

World to tell the elders of her mysterious appearance. I guess it wasnt that mysterious since

today was the day that Crymson said she would come back. I just wish I knew what we had to do

now. I gave Cassidy some water to drink.

Cassidy, what happened? Howdid you get back? Im so sorry this happened to you.

This is entirely my fault. You look so much different from the two days you were there I was

rambling due to my frustration.

Two days? she interrupted. Ashley, Ive been there for two years. I knowbecause I

had a lot of time to count the days, minutes, seconds I hid in a cave, lonely, but undetected by

those vicious beasts. Every day they fought and killed each other and yet it seemed like they

never dwindled.

I dont understand. What did you eat? I asked.

and Julie. Had they gone without me? I summoned them three times but I didnt think that it

worked through the portal; they must still be in the Wizard World. I walked into the kitchen that

overlooked the living room. Every surprising thing seemed to happen in that living rooma

portal, Cassidys return and shortly after that David and Julie had their first agreement. Now a

strange lady was standing there. I sighed. Wait!A strange lady?

How pretty you aregranddaughter of Neil Silvers. She said in a sinister tone. Her

eyes glowed red. I had never seen the red eyes before; they were terrifying but somehow

beautiful.

What? I asked timidly. She lurched towards me and I knew her intentions immediately.

I ran out of the kitchen barely dodging a glowing bolt of crimson energy. A squeak

escaped my lips.

So weaktisk tisk tisk. Youre not enough practice for me; such a shame. She said as

she got closer to me.

I ran straight to Cassidy not even waiting a second after I touched her to flash us to my

room at my parents house. I ran through the house, there was no sign of mom; she must have

left for work already. Good because I had to leave Cassidy here andas much as I was afraid

togo back to the apartment. I summoned David and Julie one more time, they didnt come.

When I flashed back to the apartment Crymson was waiting. She threw another of her red

lightning bolts at me. I dodged it. How was she doing that? Must be a trick she picked up. David

said that we were ready to fight her but I could see that her eyes were still glowing. It wasnt our

destiny yet. I didnt have a lightning bolt but I did have a crossbow. I didnt even have to say the

words for it to end up in my hand. I started shooting at her and with every arrow lost I made

another one take its place. She simply waved each arrow away with her hand. With my surprise,

my reaction time delayed by a fraction of a second and she fired another bolt at me. I wasnt able

to dodge that one fully. It hit my shoulder and flung me in the wall at the end of the hall. I

squeezed my shoulder with my hand as if I could smother the flames that seemed to come out of

it. I couldnt move the rest my arm. Tears ran down my face.

David. I cried.

So weak she said as she came closer. She stood over me staring. She raised her hand

to fire and I closed my eyes.

David. I called again.

I counted five whole seconds in my head and I hadnt felt anything. Was I already dead?

Ashley? I heard David ask. Are you okay? Oh my, look at your arm.

I opened my eyes and saw Crymson lying limp in the hall beside me.

What happened? I asked.

The element of surprise. He stated.

So thats it? Its over?

Are you disappointed?

No! Of course not. That was just easier than I expected.

Easy? You almost died.

I sighed. I left Cassidy at my house.We better go get her.

We flashed into my room. Julie had decided to join us and the elders had Crymsons

body back at the apartment. Cassidy wasnt sleeping where I left her. She wasnt anywhere in the

room. We searched the house but had no luck.

Not again. I muttered to myself in the hallway outside my bedroom door.

Not again what? Cassidy asked from behind me.

Youre here! David shes here. I called over my shoulder. We just searched this

house. Where were you? she walked into my room and openedthe window. I walked up to her

and she rested her hand on my shoulder.

Thats a bad cut. She observed.

Uh, yeah

Just then, David flashed in and pulled me back in to his chest. Shortly after the elders

arrived.

You witch! Alexander screeched at her.

What are you doing? Thats my sister! I tried to get away from David but he pulled me

further away from Cassidy.

Im sorry I wasnt here when you came back Ashley, she said in her innocent voice.

But I had to go get my dragon.

Dragon? I was confused until she jumped out of the window only to float back up on

the back of a big red dragon. Cassidy I screamed after her as they flew off.

I shook David off and ran to the window only to see an army of butt ugly creatures

marching from horizon to horizon and Cassidy let out a bright crimson bolt of lightning into the

sky.

Crymson? I whispered. But I didnt know how to think, much less what to do.

CHAPTER SIX

The Invasion

Disoriented, I slid to the floor. I didnt understand what was going on.

Im so sorry Ashley. David said as he came to kneel next to me.

We dont have time for this. said Vladimir. And he was right. Crymson has switched

bodies and now there is an invasion on our hands.

What are we supposed to do? David asked.

You will do nothing, we will fight her.

You know that I cant sit back and do nothing.

The elders thought about that for a moment.

Then if you must fight, you would need our most fierce weapon. Damien started

explaining. David, you will take this a big metal tube like thing with a telescope sight and

handle appeared next to him. its a rocket launcher. Go tothe top of a high, but close building

and explode as much of those filthy beasts as you can. He then turned to me and handed me a

piece of paper. Ashley, I need you to go to the portal and say this spell.

Where is it? And wouldnt those things kill me? I asked.

No, youll be invisible. The portal is somewhere in the park. And hurry because those

things are headed right for town and this spell only lasts for five minutes. He stepped back and

opened the book of LMNand said a weird spell.

Davidseyes widened, Wow! Youre gone!

No, Im right here.

Exactly!

I rolled my eyesnot that they saw that.

Okay guys Im leaving now. I said so there would be no confusion.

Be careful. David warned.

And hurry. Damien added.

I noddedagainnot like they saw that. Bye.

I flashed myself to the park, expecting to see chaos. But there was nothing. The park

wasnt that big so I was sure that I was supposed to be able to see huge, grotesque monsters

there. Especially, if they were coming out of a bright, swirling, flashing portal hole. Confusion

took over my expression while I started to wonder. Were they invisible too? Were the elders

trying to trick me, to get me out of the way? No, why would they? I could flash back at any time.

Unless they went somewhere else, then I wouldnt be able to find them. Was David in on this or

did they do this to him too?

Then I heard a loud, menacing growl from above me that snapped me out of my paranoia.

The creatures were floating silently out of a much more subtle portal and landing in the street. I

guess that made sense. She probably knew that we would try to close her portal. Why make it

flashy? In that moment I was very thankful that I was invisible. Those things were carrying axes,

swords and machetes. I certainly didnt want to be attacked by one of those. I pulled the piece of

paper with the spell on it out of my back pocket. I looked at it and did a double take. It was

written in LMN. Damn! Damien could have mentioned that. I took a deep death trying to

keep a clear head. I couldnt afford to lose it right now. I thought hard about how David had said

the portal spell, amazed slightly by proximity of that day. Just two days ago. Damien also said

the invisibility spell in LMN. It sounded just like English but with a few minor changes.

I started sounding out the spell slowly but I was running out of time. This was how the spell

looked Mnm nm

Mia-nahm ca kee-as cos-pee-dose This was me sounding it out. But with three words

left to go I heard a loud screech. I turned around and saw that Crymson was in the sky, on her red

dragon. It was gliding majestically but horrifyingly towards me. Did the invisibility spell wear

off already? Could they see me? I thought I had at least two more minutes left. I looked down at

myself but I was still invisible. Then how could they

I couldnt even finish that thought because the dragon opened its mouth and no sound

came out. I knew what that meant. I threw myself onto the ground and a ball of fire burnt the

grass where I was standing. The paper with the spell flew out of my hand with the wind as the

dragon landed a few feet away from me. Its wings pushed gusts of air like a helicopters

propeller. CassidyuhCrymson slid off of the dragon with a sword in her hand. She waved

her other hand at me but instead of a red lightning bolt, like I expected, a gold shimmering mist

came from it. I felt a chill as it landed on me and I could see that I wasnt invisible anymore.

Ah, she said like a sigh of refreshment, I would like to see when I cut your head off.

I wanted to flash out of there but I was given a job to do. I had to finish the spell. The

urgent chime I was hearing in my ear didnt help ditch the urge to run away. I wanted badly to

answer it but I had to find the paper. So I started saying spells.

The paper I summoned but just a plain piece of paper appeared. Damn. I needed to be

more specific but it was hard to think when Crymson was pacing towards me. I tried several

more times as I creptbackward away from her. A small piece of paper. A paper with a spell.

The spell that closes the portal. But nothing but junk.

How pathetic. Crymson said grimly, and then swiped her sword at me. Surprisingly she

missed. She was obviously playing with my intelligence. I knew that she could kill me at

anytime. But I tried not to think about that. I looked over my shoulder and saw a piece of paper, I

think, the same size of the one with the spell. I crossed my finger, looked at it sternly and

shouted,

That paper!

And it appeared in my hand. I hurried to check for the spell andyes...there it was. There

was no time to feel relief before I finished saying the last three words.

Crymson and I looked up and saw the portal close but before she could look back down I

was out of there. I couldnt remember flashing thoughit was David. Apparently he had flashed

me away but we werent far. We were on top of a building near the park. From there I could

admire my work of closing the portal but I could see that Crymson was staring right at us.

Whats wrong with her? I whispered to myself as I stared back at her. David overheard.

What do you mean? he asked.

Just then, Julie flashed in. Crymsonspowers are very minimal in Cassidys body. The

body is non-magical. She answered my question.

I looked at her in confusion. But she used a spell on me beforea spell to make me

visible again.

Yes. That was a small spelllike I saidminimal powers.

Then I started whispering to myself again. I thought that she was playing with me before

but I guess I was wrong.

I looked back at the park and saw that the elders had just arrived. The dragon

immediately got ready to fight as Crymson fell back behind it.

We have to go. I said grabbing Davids and Julies shoulders and flashing to the park.

Julie summoned our crossbows.

Ill get Crymson. David said already taking a step in her direction.

No I said grabbing his arm.

We have to kill her Ashley.

I know. I looked at Crymson, who was smirking behind her dragon, for a second and

her eyes met mine. Then I turned back to him. I want to do it.

He stepped back so that he could see my expression properly. Are you sure?

Yes. I nodded sternly. You twocan go help the elders with the dragon; they look like

they need it.

They both exchanged glances and then headed over to where the elders were battling the

dragon. I grabbed my crossbow and ran past the dragon while it was distracted. Crymson wasnt

pleased with this. She summoned a long shiny sword and trotted towards me. I could tell from

before that she could really use a sword. I didnt hesitate to start our battle and neither did she.

My arrows flew from my crossbow without a gap but Crymson was fast. She diverted them

easily with her sword and the ones that she missed she dodged gracefully. I soon grew tired of

the crossbow and threw it to the side. I wasnt prepared to fight fist to sword so I summoned a

sleek silver sword, from who knows where. And I was suddenly very aware that I could use it.

The battle was elevating and I had little time to be amazed by my newly found swordsmanship.

Every swing from Crymson was as heavy as a cinderblock but I could take it. I swung back at

her as hard as I could. I was very pleased to see that with every hit it pushed her backward. I

could see that she was getting exhausted; but was I winning? One more hit from me and her

sword went flying and she fell to the floor. my sword pointed at her throat.

A-Ashley, its me. Crymson said in Cassidys most innocent voice.

Youre not fooling me Crymson.

W-What do you mean? What are you talking about Ashley? Whos Crymson? she

looked around. Where am I? I held the sword closer to her throat and she swallowed loudly.

What are you doing?

I couldnt stand Cassidys innocent voice; I was starting to fall for it. Im finishing it. I

said dryly. I hadnt realized that I was crying until I tasted the tears. I raised my sword.

If-- if you kill me, you kill her. She blurted out nervously. I flinched and at light speed

a crossbow was in her hand. She pointed it to my neck. So pathetic

I stepped back slowly as she rolled to her feet, somehow keeping the crossbow aimed at

my neck.

David! I called without taking my eyes off her.

Davids a little busy right now. She said glimpsing over my shoulder to the dragon. I

could only smell the smoke from the fire it was breathing. I couldnt even tell if the others were

okay. I had to do something before she decided to fire.

Vladimir must be so disappointed in you. I said to her, squaring my shoulders. Her eyes

narrowed. How does it feel to let the world down? How does it feel to have no oneto have to

create beings to talk tovery ugly ones by the way? How does it feel to realize thatyourethe

pathetic one?

You want to know what it feels like? she shrieked and I jumped back a few steps for

what was coming.

Arrows flew at me, as I suspected, but I hit them away with my sword. I only needed to

hit one of them at the right angle for it to bounce right back at her.

You wont be able to dodge forever! she shouted.

Youre right. Not forever. Just. Until

I finally got the right arrow with the right angle. Crymson gasped in shock as the arrow

pierced her heart. She held her crossbow pointed at me with all her dwindling strength. Then, in

one simple move, she redirected her arrow to David and fired. At that moment everything began

to move in slow motion. The arrow went through Davids back and through his heart.

David! I screamed and he turned to face Crymson. Surprise and pain took over his

expression. The three of us fell to our knees in sync. I looked at Julie and the elders. They were

still fighting the dragon without any time to realize what was happening. Despair filled my heart.

No! I shrieked as David fell flatdead.

And the scene went blank.

EPILOGUE

I slowly regained consciousness, soon feeling a strong headache. It must be the pain from

collapsing. I laid there not opening my eyes because something bright was shining on my

eyelids. I couldnt remember it being that bright in the park. I wriggled my toes and realized that

there was something soft over my feet. Actually it was up to my shoulders. I felt around with my

hands. I was on a bed. I quickly retracted my hand when it touched someone elses and a soft

gasp escaped my lips.

Its okay Ashley. That sounded like David.

David! I exclaimed as my eyes popped open and I flew into a seated position. My

headache reared up and I let myself plop back down onto the pillow. Ahhh I groaned.

David?

A hand grabbed mine when I said his name. Im here Ashley.

I looked at him. My eyes had already adjusted to the light. Didnt you die? I asked

wearily. I couldnt think of a less forward way to ask through the headache and confusion.

Yes, I did. He answered. I continued to stare at him, waiting for an explanation. He

realized this and started explaining. No one expects you to remember but you saved us. Well, at

least thats what the elders told me. I was already he swallowed painfully, dead. But

apparently you started glowing and floating or levitating or whatever. You killed Crymsons

dragon with a bright blue lightning bolt and that gave the elders time to help me and

The sound of a door opening interrupted us and Davids expression lightened.

Ashley, youre awake! I heard Cassidys excited voice. I cringed into the pillow,

closing my eyes and putting my hands out to protect myself from Crymson in my sisters body.

Then I heard an explosion near the door. Wow, be careful with that sis. I heard that you killed a

dragon with that thing.

A few voices chuckled and I opened my eyes again to look around. Julie, Alexander and

Damien were all standing behind Crymson who was looking a little nervous now, still wearing

my sisters body.

I thought I killed Crymson? I asked mostly to myself.

You did. David answered. Thats what I was about to say. After you killed the dragon,

Vladimir brought me back to life, and he did the same for Cassidy.

Cassidy? My Cassidy? My heart started to flutter and tears ran down my cheeks. Then

laughter busted from my lips as I sprang off of the bed. Cassidy! I exclaimed, diving onto her

and throwing us both to the ground. I missed you so much. Im so sorry that you had to be part

of all of this. I love you sis.

I love you to Ashley.

I have to thank Vladimir for this. He totally saved me a painful explanation to mom and

dad. I got up and pulled Cassidy to her feet. Where is he?
