Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the most popular engineering branches out there amongst the Indian engineering aspirants. Even electronics and communication engineering is the major driving force for the present day information technology (IT) revolution. Electronics and Communication engineering has also penetrated into other areas such as healthcare, instrumentation, automation, remote sensing and signal processing.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, along with the FCA department developed a humanoid robot installed at Indore Airport “ First robot placed at any airport of India to assist the passengers.”

In the department, II, III and IV year students are working on real life projects. Students developed the project such as humanoid robot, drone, 3-D printer, foldable E-cycle, automatic pollution controller, hexapod using aruduino, save our souls, solar tracking system , voice control home automation, gesture based wheel chair, smart dustbin, dronacharya.
Project Based Learning System
Under the industry interaction, the department established collaboration with Sahasra Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Nivo Controls Pvt. Ltd., & Bioline, Scientech Technologies. Department is academic partner of Microchip and also started University program of reputed company Texas Instrumentation. Reputed E-Yantra project of IIT Powai is also established in the department.
On regular basis, department conducts skill development activities in VLSI Design & IOT in association with companies like Intel, Texas etc.
