The Wayne County News WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2017 7A Claude Gaylen Cisco Claude Gaylen Cisco entered into his eternal rest and heaven- ly reward on September 30, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Georgie Cisco; brothers, Rush, Linkeous and Dexter Cisco and sisters, Aileene Stringer and Madeline Kennedy and his first wife, Glennis Rose. Left to celebrate his life is his wife, Audrey; daughter, Georgia (Sissy) Cisco of South Charleston, W.Va.; son, Gaylen David Cisco of Kenova; step daughter, Lamoine Potter of Huntington and step son, Joe Bellomy of Kenova. He is also survived by grandchildren, Gaylen David “G” Cisco of Kenova, “special” grandson, Jaxson Bryan Kinder of Kenova and granddaughter, Lexi Potter, plus several nieces and nephews. While traveling this earth, Gaylen never saw a stranger .... just people he had not yet met. He knew no strangers and became a committed friend to all he encountered. His joy was his family and he never failed to expound on their abilities and accom- plishments like the proud Dad and Papaw he was. Gaylen was self employed and an avid antique car collector and never passed up the chance to “wheel and deal” for what he considered a bargain. The Bible says in Roman 14:7-8 that “For none of us lives to himself and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lords”. Because we, the family, believe in the promise of Jesus, we humbly ask that you join us on Wednesday, October 4, at 11 a.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, to celebrate the life of our loved one. Nettie Elizabeth Mcgown Cole of Kenova Nettie Elizabeth Mcgown Cole, 90, of Kenova, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2017 at Huntington Health & Rehab. She was born on April 10, 1927, to the late parents Delbert McGown and Edna Akers McGown Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Lee Cole. Nettie was a mem- ber of Freewill Baptist Church in Westmoreland, Huntington, W.Va. In addition to her hus- band and parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Annabelle Pratt and Polly Thompson; and one brother, Sherman McGown. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, children Terry Lee Cole (Donna) of Kenova and Beverly A. Cole of Conneaut, Ohio; grandchildren Terry Lee Lowe (Michele), Christi Poehlein (Brian), Jeff Lowe, Wendy Adkins (Nick) and Marci Spring (Dan). Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren, Brett Allen, Sammy, Mariah, Kaylee, Cole, Callie, Arastella, Kyndall, Keigan and Cole; several nieces and nephews; special sister in-law Betty Adkins and a very caring nurse, Jennifer. Mildred Marie “Midge” Maynard of Huntington Mildred Marie “Midge” Maynard, 91, of Huntington, formerly of Logan, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, September 29, 2017 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services were at noon Monday, October 2, 2017, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jay Ross. Burial followed at Adkins Cemetery, Logan, W.Va. She was born September 26, 1926, in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alther M. and Rosa M. Maynard. “Midge” was a homemaker and long standing member of the New Philadelphia United Baptist Church. Two brothers, Marshall T. Maynard and Arville R. Maynard also preceded her in death, along with a neph- ew, Renee Maynard. Survivors include a niece, Gloria Desselles and husbandDon; seven nephews, Bryan Maynard and wife Bonnie with whom she made her home, Darrell T. Maynard and wife Eva, Kevin Maynard and wife Robbie, Andre Maynard and wife Beth, Ed Maynard and wife Melissa, Jimmy Maynard and wife Vanessa, and Eric Maynard; numerous great-nieces and nephews, a great- great-niece, two special caregivers, Robert Dale Flowers and Jimmie Flowers; and two very special friends, Twila Ratliff and Betty Perry. Harold Douglas Walker of East Lynn Harold Douglas Walker, 67, of East Lynn, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord and his parents, Clarence and Ethel Walker, on September 28, 2017. He is survived by his lov- ing wife of 48 years, Darlene Walker; his children, Trish, Johnny, Doug, Ashley, Danny, Lisa, Greg, Serena, Brenda and Nathan; his grandchildren, Shaeson, Shawntae, Hunter, Lexy, Ricky, Ashley, Elizabeth, Brittany, Tiffany, Willard, Greggory, Brandon, Kristen, Clarissa, Hannah, Mathew, Gavin, Tony, Dominic, Bryson, and Bransyn; his great grandchildren; Addisyn, Jaxsyn, Kai, Isaac, and Shaylee. He left behind his siblings, Juanita, Mike, Gilmer, Betty, Helen, Earl, Myrtle, and Verlin; mother-in- law, Kesselene and Ed, and many wonderful family and friends. He was a humble man and a hard worker. Harold spent his life pro- viding for his family by farming and logging. He worked for ANR. He taught his children the meaning of God, family, love, respect, working hard and honesty. He greeted everyone with a smile and open heart. He loved his wife, family and animals beyond measure. Sandra Sue White of Kenova Sandra Sue White, 64 of Kenova, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. She was born August 31, 1953 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Virginia Saxton Curry. She was also preceded in death by two sons, J.R. and Ricky Schneberger, and one grandson, Levi. She is survived by her hus- band, Paul White; three sons, Charlie (Lacey) Schneberger, Allen (Kym) Schneberger and Carl (Amber) Schneberger, all of Cherokee, Okla.; two step-sons, Paul White and Jeff White, both of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Butcher of Huntington and Anita (Kim) Ellis of Barboursville; one brother, William Curry of Huntington; and 12grandchildren. James Randolph Jones of Dingess James Randolph Jones 71, of Dingess, West Virginia passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville. He was born to the late Martin Luther Jones and Helen Little Jones on April 22, 1946, in Belo, West Virginia. James was a member of the Neely Branch United Baptist Church of Marrowbone, West Virginia. He will be remem- bered for serving in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. James was a retired coal miner. He loved going to church and serving the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. James loved showing off old Chevrolet cars and trucks. He was also a fan of UK basketball. James is survived by his children; Jeremy (Christy) Jones of Dingess, WV, James David (Rebecca) Jones of Elizabethtown, Ky., Jamie Renee (David) Hundley of Lenore, WV. His Grandchildren; Laken Brooke Jones, Mackenzie Jade Jones, Joshua Tyler Tackett, Camber Donielle Newsome, Caleb Jordan Newsome, Cody Ryan Newsome, Brandon Vance, Eliza Kaydee Dammer, Kayla Nicole Jones, Mattie Jordan, Hunter Jordan and three Great-Grandchildren; Ebby Newsome, McKinley Dammer and Payslee Dammer. Marvin Kent Adkins of Columbus, Ohio Marvin Kent Adkins, 54, of Columbus, Ohio passed away October 1, 2017 at the Kobacker Hospice House in Columbus. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Adkins. Kent is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Adkins; his mother, Roberta Adkins of Wayne, W.Va.; and his three sisters, Elaine (Ron) Martino of Proctorville, Oh., Beth (Shawn) Cade of Wayne, and Virginia (Brandon) Bunn of Hurricane, W.Va.; two nephews, Ethan and Cameron Cade of Wayne; his stepdaughter Erica (Jeff) O’Connor and their children Mckenna and Brady of St Peters, Mo.; his stepson, Adam (Maggie) Blattel and their son Evan of O’Fallon, Mo. Kent was a 1981 graduate of Wayne High School in Wayne, W.Va., where he excelled in football and baseball. He grew up on his family’s farm where he spent his summers bailing hay and winters helping his father haul house coal. He went on to Marshall University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology. While Kent had many business endeavors, he considered his greatest accomplish- ment as owning his own business, M.K. Adkins and Associates where he focused on Geological Services. He enjoyed a host of hobbies which included traveling, skiing, rock climbing, softball, pool, and darts. He was a member at the Stonybrook United Methodist Church in Gahanna, Ohio. Kent was a wonderful hus- band, son, brother, papaw, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Contributions in Kent’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or The American Cancer Society. She was born July 25, 1929, in Stiltner, W.Va., to the late Henderson and Lydia Rice Perry. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Beginnings Church, Taylorsville, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her hus- band Amos Crum; two sisters, Alberta Johnson and Velma Ellis; one grandson, Danny Coleman; and one son-in-law, Robert Coleman. Patricia Ann Graham Salmons of Kenova Patricia Ann (Pat) Graham Salmons 77, of Kenova, WV passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Pat was born November 13, 1939 a daughter of the late Garfield Graham and Maude Evelyn Caldwell Graham Noble. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Salmons; a baby girl, Karen Michelle Salmons; and a sis- ter-in-law, Betty Graham. Pat was a 1957 graduate of Ceredo Kenova High School. She worked for many years as a adminis- trative clerk for C-K Video. She was a member of Kenova United Methodist Church where she attended the Upper Room Sunday School Class and was an active member of the telephone prayer chain. Pat loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and her friends. She was especially proud of her grandson Cole who was the light of her life. She is survived by one son, Clyde William (Bill) Salmons of Hurricane, WV; one daughter, Diana Lynn Salmons of Ceredo, WV; one grandson and his wife, Cole Wesley (Catherine) Salmons of Morgantown, WV; a brother, Jack Graham of Lavalette, WV; a sister, Diana L. Hooker of Pensacola, FL and her daughter, Deona; a niece and her husband, Linda (Richard) Burns of Lavalette, WV and their children, Zachary and Sarah Burns; two aunts, Nora Hodge, and Nellie Ferguson both of Kenova, WV and her best friend of 65 years, Sheila Wheeler of Kenova, WV. She is survived by her hus-band, Paul White; three sons, Charlie (Lacey) Schneberger, Allen (Kym) Schneberger and Carl (Amber) Schneberger, all of Cherokee, Okla.; two step-sons, Paul White and Jeff White, both of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Butcher of Huntington and Anita (Kim) Ellis of Barboursville; one brother, William Curry of Huntington; and 12grandchildren. Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Fred Rammey officiating. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. Javins of Wayne, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by uncles Rocko Ramey, Ric Javins and Phil Maynard. Additional survivors include a sister Kaygen Javins and brothers Nickolas Javins and Justice Ramey Ross of Wayne, WV and Jayden Javins of Steubenville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Elder Tony Clay officiating. Burial will follow at the Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

James Randolph Jones of Dingess

James Randolph Jones 71, of Dingess, West Virginia passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

He was born to the late Martin Luther Jones and Helen Little Jones on April 22, 1946, in Belo, West Virginia.

James was a member of the Neely Branch United Baptist Church of Marrowbone, West Virginia. He will be remem-bered for serving in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. James was a retired coal miner. He loved going to church and serving the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. James loved showing off old Chevrolet cars and trucks. He was also a fan of UK basketball.

James is survived by his children; Jeremy (Christy) Jones of Dingess, WV, James David (Rebecca) Jones of Elizabethtown, Ky., Jamie Renee (David) Hundley of Lenore, WV. His Grandchildren; Laken Brooke Jones, Mackenzie Jade Jones, Joshua Tyler Tackett, Camber Donielle Newsome, Caleb Jordan Newsome, Cody Ryan Newsome, Brandon Vance, Eliza Kaydee Dammer, Kayla Nicole Jones, Mattie Jordan, Hunter Jordan and three Great-Grandchildren; Ebby Newsome, McKinley Dammer and Payslee Dammer. His Siblings; Bruce Jones of Belo, WV, David Jones of Belo, WV, John Jones of Lenore, WV and Marlee Jones of Pickerton, Ohio. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include; James Ed and Bonnie Baisden, Phillip and Billie Vance, Judy and Paul Vance,Betty Jean and Ale Mooneyham,Margie and Evell Dillon, Jacqueline Chyleen Sturgill, Phyllis and Don Jarvis, Gary and Alberta Vance,Joseph and Wanda Vance, Ken and Estelle Vance, Billy and Wilma Vance and Peal Newsome.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen K. Jones and one son, Randy Jones.

Marvin Kent Adkinsof Columbus, Ohio

Marvin Kent Adkins, 54, of Columbus, Ohio passed away October 1, 2017 at the Kobacker Hospice House in Columbus. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Adkins. Kent is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Adkins; his mother, Roberta Adkins of Wayne, W.Va.; and his three sisters, Elaine (Ron) Martino of Proctorville, Oh., Beth (Shawn) Cade of Wayne, and Virginia (Brandon) Bunn of Hurricane, W.Va.; two nephews, Ethan and Cameron Cade of Wayne; his stepdaughter Erica (Jeff) O’Connor and their children Mckenna and Brady of St Peters, Mo.; his stepson, Adam (Maggie) Blattel and their son Evan of O’Fallon, Mo. Kent was a 1981 graduate of Wayne High School in Wayne, W.Va., where he excelled in football and baseball. He grew up on his family’s farm where he spent his summers bailing hay and winters helping his father haul house coal. He went on to Marshall University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology. While Kent had many business endeavors, he considered his greatest accomplish-ment as owning his own business, M.K. Adkins and Associates where he focused on Geological Services. He enjoyed a host of hobbies which included traveling, skiing, rock climbing, softball, pool, and darts. He was a member at the Stonybrook United Methodist Church in Gahanna, Ohio. Kent was a wonderful hus-band, son, brother, papaw, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Contributions in Kent’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or The American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 4th at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 E. Johnstown Road in Gahanna, Ohio with funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, 485 Cherry Bottom Road, Gahanna. Vada Perry Crumof Chauncey

Vada Perry Crum, 88, of Chauncey, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 30, 2017, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1929, in Stiltner, W.Va., to the late Henderson and Lydia Rice Perry. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Beginnings Church, Taylorsville, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her hus-band Amos Crum; two sisters, Alberta Johnson and Velma Ellis; one grandson, Danny Coleman; and one son-in-law, Robert Coleman. Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Clyde Crum of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Lydia Coleman and Kathy (Keith) Garretson, both of Switzer, W.Va.; one sister, Linda Perry of Chauncey, W.Va.; one sister-in-law, Faye Rainey of Ashtabula, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, David (Starlet) Coleman, Kathy (Dan) Capp, Debra (Miguel) Laboy, Robert (Candice) Coleman, Adam Crum, Amy Stastny, Brian Crum, Christina Crum, Donnie (Debbie) Kubow, Crystal Kubow, Jimmy (Jennifer) Kubow, Jason Kubow, three step-grandchildren, Brian Garretson and Jennifer (Cletis) Ellis and one adopted grandson Henry (Tina) Sanders; many great-grand-children and step- great-grandchildren and several nieces and neph-ews that loved her very much and will miss her dearly. Salmons 77, of Kenova, WV passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Pat was born November 13, 1939 a daughter of the late Garfield Graham and Maude Evelyn Caldwell Graham Noble. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Salmons; a baby girl, Karen Michelle Salmons; and a sis-ter-in-law, Betty Graham. Pat was a 1957 graduate of Ceredo Kenova High School. She worked for many years as a adminis-trative clerk for C-K Video. She was a member of Kenova United Methodist Church where she attended the Upper Room Sunday School Class and was an active member of the telephone prayer chain. Pat loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and her friends. She was especially proud of her grandson Cole who was the light of her life. She is survived by one son, Clyde William (Bill) Salmons of Hurricane, WV; one daughter, Diana Lynn Salmons of Ceredo, WV; one grandson and his wife, Cole Wesley (Catherine) Salmons of Morgantown, WV; a brother, Jack Graham of Lavalette, WV; a sister, Diana L. Hooker of Pensacola, FL and her daughter, Deona; a niece and her husband, Linda (Richard) Burns of Lavalette, WV and their children, Zachary and Sarah Burns; two aunts, Nora Hodge, and Nellie Ferguson both of Kenova, WV and her best friend of 65 years, Sheila Wheeler of Kenova, WV.
