Principal’s Report Stewart House – Wear Blue The Student Representative Council (SRC) will be raising money for Stewart House, a school that provides children from low-socio economic backgrounds with an opportunity to visit Sydney for 2 weeks. Windale PS students are asked to wear blue and donate a gold coin to support this worthy cause. Every year we have at least 2 students who are offered a placement at this venue free of charge. Annual School Report Meeting – Tuesday 3

This document will also be available on the school’s website and at the front office. Easter Hat Parade – Thursday, 5

Preschool Patch Hello from Mrs Jacobs, Mrs McKay, Peta and Nicole at the Preschool Patch, As part of our National Quality Standards, we need to ensure that all preschoolers are eating nutritionally balanced foods every day. We ask that a sandwich, wrap or bread roll be provided for lunch along with a serve of yoghurt or cheese and some fruit or vegetable sticks. Recess should always have at least one piece of fruit and a small snack like Saos with vegemite or rice crackers. Thanks for keeping our preschoolers healthy!

Milabah – Place of Fun
The Art of Parenting Next term Newcastle Family support will be running a 6 week program incorporating art into parenting. You don’t have to be ‘arty’ to participate, just willing to have a go. Numbers will be limited, so give me a call and get in early. Childcare will be available if booked. WICA Thanks to everyone involved in Saturday’s Shave for a Cure. WICA, led by the fundraising queen, Sue, raised $1585.10 so far towards finding a cure for leukemia. Well done everyone! WICA recently received funding through Sport & Rec to subsidise local children who do not participate in out of school sport, due to the growing cost. If you would like to apply for a subsidy, you can pick up an application form from Milabah. The subsidy covers any physical activity, including swimming and dance.
For information on programs running at Milabah call Roselea on 49487786, collect a Termly information sheet (attached to the newsletter Week 1 and Week 5 of each term) from Milabah, or the Office, or call in for a cuppa and a yarn.
