CR-531-GR-1 The INTEBNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (IDA) , · an affiliate of the WOB.LD BANK, has made a credit of $13o6 million equivalent to the Republic of Ghana to help finance an oil palm project. ·

The project is the first phase of a 25,000 acre integr•ted oil palm development prog~am based on the concept of a nucleus plantation with outgrower h.oldings. It involves planting 13,000 acres of oil' palm about 90 miles northeast of Accrao

Among those present at the signing of the credit documents on March S, 197S, were, seated from left to right: Mr. K. Gyasi-Twum, Alternate Executive Director of IDA for the Republic of Ghana; Mr. Yahia Khelif, Executive Director of IDA for the Republic of Ghana; His Excellency Sa-muel Ernest Quant, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the United States; and Mr. Roger Chaufournier s V:lce President, Western Africa Region& IDA.
