Goals Strategic Plan: 2017 - 2021
1: Staff Development Plan and provide professional development for SVRTC members.
2: Communica5on Communicate informaAon of interest to SVRTC members/ partners and provide forums for discussion and disseminaAon of informaAon.
3: Collabora5on Promote collaboraAon between and among SVRTC members/partners concerning the use and integraAon of instrucAonal technologies.
SVRTC will assist members with the acquisiAon and effecAve
integraAon of viable current and emerging technologies and the
coordinaAon of valuable training for its students, staff
and ciAzens designed to enhance learning and encourage economic
development in Southside Virginia.
4: Public Rela5ons Foster awareness of the missions, goals, acAviAes, and opportuniAes of the SVRTC and provide opportuniAes for recogniAon of SVRTC members individually and collecAvely.

5: Recogni<onAwards Banquet
The Awards CommiVee, with the assistance of the Advisory Board and the ITTIP, will plan and hold an annual Awards Banquet recognizing achievements in technology. Awards will include the following:
A. Division Leadership Award — Recognize one school division for advancing technology in the educaAonal seeng
B. Technology Leadership Award — Recognize one educator or community leader in the SVRTC area who has promoted the use of technology in the region.
C. Teacher Technology Award – Recognize one teacher from each division who has exhibited exemplary use of technology in the classroom.
D. Instruc9onal Support Award — Recognize one instrucAonal support person from each division (such as library media specialist, technology lab coordinator, etc.) that advances a school division’s technology environment through providing crucial instrucAonal technology support.
E. Technology Support Award — Recognize one technology support person (such as network administrator) that advances a school division’s technology environment through providing crucial tech support.
