Over the past 20 years UK has attracted many from abroad, Who are employed in mosques to serve religious, social and moral needs. The imams play a crucial role in Muslim communities as both teachers & spiritual guides, but they face severe handicaps, lack of support, professional development, leadership training. we at karimia have decided to tackle there issues and help our imams to become more professional and effective.

We propose to provide:

1. Continues professional development of Imams, leadership courses & effective dawah training

2. Develop the Quran school curriculum & supporting masjid to use them

3. Training for Quran school teachers so they are able to use the new curriculum

The above aims will be promoted on a national scale and the new Quran curriculum to be used in Masjids in UK.

YOUR ZAKAT WILL BE USED IN UK FOR:The messenger said, “Zakat is a proof”; proof of one's faith in Allah, in the messenger and the hereafter. The hadith literature vividly describes the virtues of Zakat. It extols its benefits and motivates people to carry out this duty. Here are few beautiful gems from the messenger:

Abdullah ibn Umar said, “Islam is built on five pillars! Bearing witness that there is no god but Allah, establishing regular worship, paying Zakat, pilgrimage and fasting in Ramadan” (agreed upon).

Is Zakat compulsory on me?

Yes if you are free from debts and have wealth that is more than the Zakat-payable amount (Nisib), and have been in possession of the Nisab for full lunar Year. Zakat can be paid in advance, i.e. for two years , the last year and the next.

What is the Nisab?

The Nisab is 85 grams of gold, the current value of this is £3,000 (May. 2013), what this means is that when you have 85 g of gold or more or an equivalent amount of money, £3,000 Zakat becomes compulsory on you, hence you will pay 2.5% of this amount.

ZAKAT1. Supporting new Muslims - Revert Support Programme

Discussion with a number of reverts to Islam from Nottingham in 2010, led to the realization that not enough was being done to identify needs and provide support for those interested in and new to Islam. The Karimia Institute took the lead and formed the 'Revert Support Programme'. Over the last two years the Programme has tried to meet the social and educational needs of Revert Muslims by providing a variety of services such as monthly educational and social gatherings.

We propose to provide:

1. Qur'anic Arabic and Islamic Studies courses at various levels and one to one learning support to help to improve reading and comprehension of the Holy Qur'an.

2. Weekend residential Quranic Arabic and Islamic Studies courses.

3. Arrange visits to Muslim countries for their historical and spiritual impact.

4. Provide advice, support and counseling services to new Muslims

2. Help to educate & inspire young people

Since the past 23 years Dr Musharraf Hussain Al azhari has been writing & publishing Islamic books, articles and bi monthly Islamic the Invitation magazine. These resources cover many Islamic subjects ie fiqh, aqaid, theology, moral and spiritual teaching of Islam. Most of the material is available as books, booklets and pamphlets.

We propose to provide:

1. Promote online book distribution via KI website and other online book stores

2. Produce further Islamic books, articles & child friendly Islamic posters

3. Develop multimedia app for I phone and android market place
