THEATRE CLUBSIGNATURE EVENINGS

SPRING AWAKENINGBook and Lyrics by Stephen Sater Music by Duncan Sheik October 13, 2015 Reception Details To Follow Brooks Atkinson Theatre 256 W 47th St New York, NY 10036

Based on Frank Wedekind's controversial 1891 expressionist play of the same name and featuring an electrifying pop/rock score, Spring Awakening follows the lives of a group of adolescents as they navigate their journey from adolescence to adulthood in a fusion of morality, sexuality, and rock & roll. An extraordinary creative team including Michael Arden and Spencer Liff has reinvented the groundbreaking musical about lost innocence and the struggles of youth in true Deaf West style.

FIRST DAUGHTER SUITE by Michael John LaChiusa November 3, 2015 Reception Details To Follow The Public Theater 425 Lafayette St New York, NY 10003

A historical fantasia in four-parts, First Daughter Suite follows Patricia Nixon and daughters Tricia and Julie; Roselyn and Amy Carter; Betty and Susan Ford; Patti Davis and mom Nancy Reagan; and Barbara Bush and daughter-in-law Laura as they strive to live meaningful lives in the public eye, while dealing with the complex private relationships all of us face with our parents and children.

SKELETON CREW by Dominique Morisseau February 5, 2016 Reception Details To Follow Atlantic Theater Company 330 W 16th St New York, NY 10011

In this final installment of Dominique Morisseau’s Detroit trilogy, a makeshift family of workers at the last exporting auto plant in the city navigate the possibility of foreclosure. Power dynamics shift, and they are pushed to the limits of survival. When the line between blue collar and white collar gets blurred, how far over the lines are they willing to step?

INDECENT Written by Paula Vogel Created by Paula Vogel & Rebecca Taichman Directed by Rebecca Taichman May 2016 Final Date and Reception Details To Follow Vineyard Theatre 108 E 15th St New York, NY 10003

Indecent, created by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel (Vineyard’s How I Learned to Drive and The Long Christmas Ride Home) and award-winning director Rebecca Taichman (Stage Kiss), is a deeply moving new play with music, inspired by the true events surrounding the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance—a play seen by some as a seminal work of Jewish culture, and by others as an act of traitorous libel. Indecent charts the history of an incendiary drama and the path of the artists who risked their careers and lives to perform it.
