The following pictures represent almost every theatre production I have been a part
of since the fall of 2006. I have been a member of the construction crew for all of
these shows.
Prelude to a Kiss: HF ‘09
Scenic Designer and Stage Manager
Prelude to a Kiss
Shakespeare’s R&J: HF ‘08Scenic Designer and Scenic Artist
Both “Prelude to a Kiss” and “Shakespeare’s R&J” were entirely student designed; I learned about the
need for collaboration in artistic endeavors.
Pippin: HF ‘09
Stage Manager
As the stage manager of Pippin, I called every technical cue in the show.
A Chorus Line: HF ‘08Props Mistress and Assistant Stage Manager
Thoroughly Modern Millie: HF ‘09
In the role of Deck Captain, I made sure that set pieces smoothly
travelled on and off of the revolving stage we built.
Antigone: HF ‘08
I created two large scale Greek statues out of foam before controlling on-stage tech as the Deck Captain.
Peter & Wendy: HF ‘08Assistant Director and Moving Light Board Operator
Into The Woods: Governor’s State University ‘09
As the Sound Effects Operator for this musical, I had the opportunity to work alongside professional adults and college students.
Bud, Not Buddy: HF ‘09
For this show, I am most proud of the plywood
flat that I painted to look like a shed, shown
here.
As sound board operator, I needed to make sure sound effects, such as rainfall, jazz music, and a car’s ignition, were synced up with the action on stage and mixed with microphones during “Bud, Not Buddy.”
Titanic: A New Musical: HF ‘06
I was a Follow Spot Light Operator for Act I and pushed giant staircases in the Deck Crew for Act II. I painted the stained glass
windows on the left side of the photo.
Anon(ymous): HF ‘07Follow Spot Light Operator
Rabbit Hole: HF ‘07I packed this set into a truck and set it up on a new stage in under ten
minutes, in accordance with the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) rules for Contest Plays. The play won 4th Place in the State Competition.
Lysistrata: HF ’07I was on the Traveling Crew for this Group Interpretation, which
took 1st place at the IHSA State Competition.
Passion Play: HF ‘08
“Passion Play,” by Sarah Ruhl, took 2nd Place in the IHSA State Competition. I was on traveling crew.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream: HF ‘07
I was one of six trapdoor operators. In this photo, I am underneath the raked stage, opening the door for the spiky-haired Puck. I drilled together the PVC pipe “trees” behind him.
My mission is to entertain and enlighten others by enhancing meaningful theatre through design, technology, and
management. Please understand the photos you have just seen as a representation of my interests, successes and capabilities.
