Illustrate and describe any two of your favourite characters from the stories that you have read.

why you like them .Make a project of 3-4 pages in your scrap book.

the family. Create a comic strip depicting a typical scenario at home

showing their use and misuse. (use two A4 sheet). Create interesting

illustrations and dialogues and give a suitable title to your comic strip.

1.We are surrounded by several Logos that are made up of

Geometrical Shapes. For example Adjacent is a Logo of Mitsubishi

Motors which is made up of 3 Rhombus.

Create 3 logos of your dream gadgets using Mathematical Shapes.

2.Make a model of any gadget using Mathematics 3D Shapes for

example Robot ,Calculator etc..

3.Collect data of any 5 Contact number(Mobile Numbers) from

your family members, with their photos .

Now based on the above information do the following.

a) Write them according to Indian system and International

system of numeration.

b)Arrange them in Ascending and Descending order.

c)Write their expanded forms.

4.Make a mathematical newspaper. In it write the application of Maths in daily life with

pictures. Also add various puzzles, games , logos and symbols.(having geometrical shapes)

Important Inventions of gadgets:

Today’s world is of technology. The advancements in the field of science and technology have

resulted in development of better gadgets for everyone. In the

field of Agriculture recently so many technological development

has occurred which has made the work of farmers very easy

and efficient. In a scrap book make a list of any three gadgets

that are used in present day agriculture, Paste their pictures and

mention the following for each of them:

i. Invention of the gadget.

ii. Technology involved in designing that gadget.

iii. How that gadget helped in modern day agriculture as compared to the past

Natural Air Purifiers:

In modern day, expensive air purifiers are used at home to clear or purify the air inside our

house. However, in nature there are so many plants that can purify the air naturally. Identify any

10 such air-purifying plants and paste their picture in a scrap book and write their names.

Let’s make our own Natural Insecticides/Pesticides:

Insecticides and pesticides are the chemicals that help crop by destroying pests but can damage

the crop if used in excess. In nature there are so many things that can act as natural

insecticides/pesticides. Find out how to make any three such natural insecticides/pesticides and

write about them in your scrap book.

Grow baby plants from seedless plants:

You will be amazed to know that the top section s of few vegetables such as carrot, turnip, onion

and potato can be used to grow new baby plants. Follow these easy steps:

1.Put the top of these vegetables in a deep dish and cover it with water

2. Add some water every day to maintain the water level.

3. After 10 days sow these vegetable tops in soil in different pots

You will observe that seedlings are coming out of the vegetable tops.

Watch the plant grow and take good care of them. Click pictures of

the plants and paste it in your scrap book.

It’s time to make a Collage

Collect pictures of animals and birds from newspaper and magazines, group them according to

their habitat and feeding habits, and make an attractive collage on A-4 size sheet.
