Introduction of Theodolite& How to Install it

Introduction:-

Theodolite is used to measure the horizontal and vertical angles.

Theodolite is more precise than magnetic compass.

Magnetic compass measures the angle up to as accuracy of 30’. However a vernier theodolite measures the angles up to and accuracy of 10’’, 20”.

There are a variety of theodolite vernier, optic, electronic etc.

Objective:-

The main purpose to Determine measure the horizontal and vertical angles.

Type of theodolite:-

Introduction of the parts of Theodolite

Porciger of Intalling :- The our survey team begins by looking the point of our project that the our theodolite will install directly on it , It is necessary to install our theodolite directly on the point for suring that , we use the plumb bob .If it is not , then by moving the tripod it will be directly on the point .Next, Insure the instrument is level by adjacent all three leveling screws at the base of the theodolite, ensure that the bubble is at the center of the circle of the level. To verify that the vertical axis of the digital theodolite lines perpendicular to the center of our point by looking through optical plummet. finally leveling up this means making the vertical axis truly vertical.this also done with the help of the foot screws, the longer plate level is brought parallel to any two foot screws. In the case of a three screw levelling head, the other plate level will then be parallel to the line joining the third foot screw and the mid-point of the line joining the first two foot screws,as Shown bellow.
