Therapeutic YOGA for kids Specialized private and group classes that meet your child’s needs
Children of all ages gain enormous benefit from practicing yoga. Research has shown that kids who participate in yoga show an increase in school performance and a reduction in symptoms of stress, anxiety and ADHD. More than just a physical practice, kids yoga is a fun, noncompetitive space for self-expression, storytelling, partner work, art projects, breath work, mindfulness practice and guided relaxation. Each group will vary depending on the age and needs of its participants, but all kids will leave feeling calm and happy!
Why practice yoga? • Physical (Asana) practice improves coordination, stability, and motor planning.• Yoga can be implemented into a sensory diet: balancing the vestibular and
proprioceptive systems.• Mindfulness and Meditation practices improve concentration and teach kids to hone
their attention to one thing at a time.• Kids will learn techniques for improved attention, behavior and self-regulation.• Working in a group will improve social interaction and promotes a flexible body and
mind.• It’s Fun!
