CURRICULUM DAY AND MELBOURNE CUP DAY
Monday, 4th November is a Curriculum Day
Tuesday, 5th November, is a public holiday for
Melbourne Cup day.
There is no school on Monday 4th or Tuesday 5th November
Mildura Show Art Entries Thank you Miss K and all the students who were able to enter art work into the Mildura Show. The display in the hallway at school shows off the talented art work and the many awards students from Mildura Primary have re-ceived. Also a very big thank you to Miss K for getting the art work to the show and also picking it up and putting it all on display at school. Positive Education Curriculum Day Next Monday all staff from Mildura Primary will be joining staff from Mildura South Primary and Chaffey Secondary to begin our work with Lea Waters on Positive Education. The focus is working on and building on our strengths in character to achieve in our day to day lives. For Parents interested there is also a parent infor-mation night on Monday at 7pm to 8pm at Chaffey Secondary College. All welcome Staffing Update Next week Miss Lawrence will be heading off on leave. Miss McGlashan has already moved into teaching 5/6L this week and will continue on for the rest off term. All the best Miss Lawrence. Secondary Enrolments There are still a few enrolment papers that have not been handed into Chaffey Secondary. It is important that the enrolment papers are handed in for the preparation for 2020. 2020 Prep Enrolments It was exciting to see more 2020 Preps and their parents coming along Friday afternoons to experience what it is like to be at school. These afternoons start at 2.15 each Friday. Come along to the school office and some of our 2019 Preps will take you to the classroom. Please remember to complete enrolment papers and hand them in at the main office. Dates to Remember Monday 4th November is a Curriculum Day – Student free day. Do you have a prep child starting school in 2020? Are you leaving Mildura / moving to another area in 2020?
Please let us know. This is the time of year that classes are being planned for 2020.
To decide how many classes we will need, it is important to know how many students we will have.
If you have a child ready to start Prep please collect enrolment papers from the office and return as soon as possible.
If your child will be leaving Mildura Primary School at the end of 2019 for any reason, please contact the school as soon as possible to let us know.

Congratulations to all the students who had work entered
into the 2019 Mildura Show. I was very proud to enter the
students’ work and see how excited they were to see their
work on display.
Special congratulations to all the students who received a
certificate and ribbon for their work as these students were
competing against other schools in the Sunraysia area. All
the students should be really proud of their effort and
standard of work. Currently the work is on display in the
hallway near the Grade 3/4 classes. Parents, family and
carers are more than welcome to come along and have a
look over the next week before the work is sent home.

Please remember:
To use the school crossings when crossing the road. To safely park your car before dropping off and picking up your children. Yard supervision begins at 8.45am each morning. Children riding scooters and bikes need to be wearing helmets and travelling safely
Orientation Dates Prepare your child for a positive start at
Mildura Primary School by attending our orientation days.
Prep teachers will familiarise children with our school layout and routines.
Sessions will include an activity and a morning snack for the children.
DAY 1– Wednesday 20th November:

DAY 2 - Wednesday 27th November: 9.00am- 10.30am
DAY 3 – Wednesday 4th December:

Parents please stay on day 3 for our Information session and morning tea.
Open Afternoons Mildura Primary School offers
8 afternoon sessions from 2:15pm - 3:00pm on Fridays.
Parents, carers and children are most wel-come
to come and join in with a Prep classroom.

November – 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29th December – 6th
