Introducing
At EPL we understand that we too need to do our bit to operate more sustainably. That’s why on top of the waste management and tree planting projects we already commit too, we're developing a new range of plant protectors made from our innovative new sustainable polymers.
Plant protectors help protect young plants from pests and the elements to support faster growth and improve survival rates, making them ideal for vegetation, revegetation or restoration projects.
Available in both standard and slanted hillside configurations and made to withstand New Zealand’s varied environment, they’re ideal for small or large scale planting projects.
Sustainable Plant Protectors
Plant ProtectorThese plant protectors are made from recycled and recyclable materials blended with new polymer. As with all of our PolyCycle™ products, at the end of use, they can be recycled in your local council recycling bin or returned to us to once again be recycled and reused, making for a long-term sustainable solution.

About
Recyclable polymers made from a blend of new and recycled material.
Each new sustainable polymer is being developed to meet our own vision to be an industry leader in bioplastics technology; the growing needs of our clients to meet their sustainability goals, and address the wider public’s concern about the use of finite fossil fuels.
Our Sustainable Polymers
Biodegradable polymer
Natural polymer
A custom biopolymer we're developing from a unique blend of compounds derived from plant material, it is being carefully designed to both go the distance on the shelf and degrade naturally over time, making for a sustainable solution for single use product applications
PolyNatural™ is a custom biopolymer we're developing from a unique blend of renewable, naturally occurring plant matter, only it won't degrade. PolyNatural™ will be a great solution for those wanting to develop sustainable products that last long-term.
Recycled polymerPolyCycle™ is made from a blend of new and recyclable material. Taking previously used products or leftover materials, PolyCycle™ is made of petrochemicals but is more sustainable because we can reduce our reliance on new materials / compounds in its creation.
PolyCycle™ is a great solution for those wanting to develop more sustainably-created products that last long-term.

Our CommitmentTo Sustainability
We've always been innovators, and over the years this has seen us ramp-up sustainability in our product design.
- We have been part of the Plastics New Zealand Sustainability Initiative since 2003 and we work with our partner Comspec to actively decrease the amount of waste going to the landfill. We measure our performance to actively target waste reduction to ensure we recycle paper, cardboard and other materials.
- Each year our team get involved in Keep New Zealand Beautiful Clean Up Week campaign. We travel to various locations to support the efforts of the local community to clean up beaches, rivers and parks.
- We are supporters of Trees That Count. Native trees are a gift to our natural environment, they absorb carbon from the atmosphere and are planted to last for decades longer. Every time we do a new development we gift native trees to be planted for community-based projects across New Zealand.
