Thermo Scientific Nunc Edge 2.0 Plates contain a large evaporation moat (Figure 1) that can be filled with 1.7 mL of sterile water or media to virtually eliminate edge effect, and increase consistency and cell viability following lengthy incubations. Utilizing all 96 wells in the Edge plate can increase throughput of the assays by 37.5% over that of typical cell-based assays that use only the 60 inner wells of the plate (Figure 2). The Edge 2.0 plate is in compliance with the ANSI microplate standards, compatible with robotic liquid handling stations as well as automated cell detection and cell analysis equipment (e.g. Thermo Scientific Varioskan LUX). With various choices of surface treatment and package configurations, Edge 2.0 plates meet the requirements of a wide range of bioassays. Figure 1 Figure 2
