When “as close as possible” simply isn’t possible.

Whether it is the spatial conditions which prevent approaching themeasurement object, or the consideration of one’s own safety: auser who cannot approach his measurement object close enoughneeds to be able to rely on his technical equipment. In thethermography of distant objects, all that helps, apart from telephotolenses, is a high-resolution infrared imager system. This is the onlyway critical temperature differences and hot spots can be clearlyrecognized and properly evaluated at a distance.

The application

The solution

The basis for the exact determination of thermal irregularities at great distances, e.g. in the cable connections in high-voltage masts, isa high-performance detector. With the 640 x 480-pixel detector in thetesto 890 in combination with the new Testo SuperResolution technology,

you can create extremely high-resolution thermal images in megapixelquality. With the telephoto lens, you are guaranteed to recognize everydetail, even on far distant objects, with the testo 890, and can carryout precise thermographic analyses.
