HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY

TO US!

Moving day had the WOW factor as Habi-

tat’s 75th house was moved from Ascend

Performance Materials plant site to its

“forever home” at 319 Denver Place.

What a day! Blue skies and clear sailing

meant a flawless trip to our Habitat subdivision. The trip saw

teams from Hollis Kennedy House Movers, Decatur Police De-

partment, Decatur Utilities, Joe Wheeler Electric, AT&T, Tem-

ple Electric and Charter Communications working together to

accomplish a common goal. Ascend employees and contrac-

tors have been hard at work

since the beginning of Sep-

tember. First they had a

dream, and then they built a

house which is now “home”

for Pancho Montano and

his family. Everybody wins!

Hurrah for Early Risers!

August 19th was warm and

sunny but the Hard Hat

Breakfast attendees (more

than 100 strong) had no

idea because the sun was barely up at 6:30 a.m.!

Habitat Board members and staff were pleasantly

surprised to welcome a room full of Habitat support-

ers for our 1st Annual Breakfast. Attendees were

treated to a tasty breakfast from Albany Bistro, a

heart-rending story of sadness & success from

homeowner Jennifer Chambers and an inspiring

talk from Valley Rubber President, Cronan Connell.

We were overwhelmed by the

positive response of our do-

nors. We are already making

plans for 2016 and hope you

will join us! Photo provided by Freedom Light Productions

“Your home improvement outlet”

Habitat Morgan County

My, how time has flown! We just got through with summer, got the kiddos back in school, and now it’s time to think

about the upcoming holidays. This fall, we’re thankful for all of our shoppers and donors who make it possible to build

houses for our Habitat families. We’re also grateful for the new paint up in our foyer and break room,

thanks to volunteers from BBVA Compass.

Come shop with us to get your house all “decked out” for the holidays. We hope you and your family have a blessed

Thanksgiving, and a very Merry Christmas.
