They Make up the Hedge; They Stand in the GapBeyond the logistics, the administration, and the cash flow, and at the heart of every mission effort are

the men and women who give of their lives and energy to live out and carry out the work of ambassadors of Christ. In this edition, we’re honored to introduce you to ours. These form the bridge between us and Guate-malan society. These are the people you pray for and support.

Brother Harold Kauffman, the mission founder of ninety-two years of age, is still living and working in Guatemala. He lives at mission headquarters in Gua-temala City and still does some traveling to preach the gospel.

Larry Martin is living at mission head-quarters and works as admin-istrator. Larry also pastors the small church in Pital, driving the two and a half hours every Sunday. He has the privilege of having his very own par-ents as houseparents, even though he was here several years before they came.

Irvin and Eleanor Martin are serv-ing at mission headquarters as houseparents. They recently arrived in Guatemala for a two-year term.

Laresa Good has been serving in domestics at headquarters for more the six years, working beside several national sisters and the house mom.

Zaragoza

Dean and Jodi Boll are another recent arrival to Guatemala. They have three children: Denver, Kailyn, and Kara. They spent several weeks in Spanish school and then plan to go to Santa Rosita for a few months while Daniel Eby is home for furlough. After that, they are considering moving to Zaragoza to help out in the church there that currently doesn’t have a pastor.

Mixcolajá

Lamar and Beulah Hursh returned to Guatemala for a few months with three of their children, Kristina, Juanita, and Joel, to help out in the church in Mixcolajá where they had served years earlier. The struggling church there has been greatly encouraged since their arrival.
