Daily coaching • Scheduled practice Daily group rehearsals • Workshops Student concerts • Master classes • Field trips This eight-day workshop is designed for students who wish to advance their skills in chamber music while enjoying summertime camaraderie. Students are carefully placed in groups and assigned repertoire based on skill level and age. Each group receives two hours of coaching per day as well as supervised practice. One-day or multi-day clinics including drumming, Dalcroze Eurythmics, theory, sight-reading and more supplement training to broaden students’ understanding of music and their abilities as ensemble players. Groups prepare for a public performance, as a part of Third Street’s well-established outdoor summer concert series, and participate in a final concert in the school’s auditorium on Friday, July 9.

Quality instruction and the opportunity for intensive learning are balanced with recreational activities, field trips and concert-going, all designed to deepen friendship and the musical experience.
