Understanding the Portal Interface The Portal navigation includes everything you will need to create your and manage your online presence. A top-nav task bar and drop-down menu, which remain consistent, provides access to key services, such as your account information, email, online shop and credit features. There also icons and page elements that will help you design, build and promote your website. The Portal is designed so that you can manage services at the domain level.

The main components of the Portal include: • Websites – allows you to view the statistics for Websites listed under a specified domain. • Shop – allows you to purchase a new domain, or add a new website or email account. • Support – provides contact information for technical support or billing, and a link to online help. • Email – launches Webmail associated with the specified website. • Online Fax - launches the Online Fax portal in a separate window.

Task Bar

The Task Bar provides access to Websites, Webmail, Shop and an Account Management drop-down.

Websites

The websites icon introduces you to the Online Presence Builder, which will help you create and publish a beautifully designed website.

Once you have created your first website using the Online Presence Builder, you will be able to manage your sites from here. Select your domain from the drop-down and click the Edit Site button. You’ll be taken to the Online Presence Builder to start editing your website.


Website and Domain Information

This section provides a view into your service and usage details, along with receiving helpful tips and tricks.

Shop The Shop section provides you with all of the tools needed to create a beautiful online presence for your business in one visit. You can purchase features for your small business, such as a domain name, a website, email package and an online store. If you already have a domain, that’s okay too – we’ll help you transfer your domain and start building your online presence.


Support The Support link provides a list of contact resources should you ever need assistance.

Webmail This link opens the log-in screen for your Webmail account.

Online Fax This link opens the log-in screen for your Online Fax account.


Shop Packages and Options The Shop section is separated into business-needs categories. If you are new to the online presence, we recommend starting with a domain name. From there, you can build up your features as needed. If you already have a domain name, you can start with a website plan or an email package. Perhaps, you already have a website but would like to upgrade or add an online store. The shop section also provides WebPoints that you can use to upgrade your existing website. Regardless of where you’re starting, shop will help you launch a beautiful website with all the bells and whistles.

Domain Names This section allows you to search for a new domain name or transfer a domain you own from a different provider. Additional Top Level Domains (i.e. .NET, .BIZ, etc.) may also be purchased here.

TO PURCHASE A NEW DOMAIN:

1. Click Domain Names.

2. Enter the domain name that you would like to use in the Get Started, Search For a Domain! field.

3. If you would like to add a new domain name, enter it here and click Next.

TO TRANSFER AN EXISTING DOMAIN:

1. Click Domain Names.

2. In the Search domain to Transfer section, enter your domain name and click Transfer.



Website Plans

This section allows you to purchase affordable small business web hosting plans to effectively manage your business online.

Private Registration

Keeping your personal information private on the internet is a hard task. That is why we offer Private Registration to help protect you! When you register your domain name, your information is stored in a public database called the “WHOIS” database. This standard domain name registration process can expose your personal contact information to the general public, allowing telemarketers, hackers and spammers to invade your privacy when they perform a WHOIS search. Private Registration will conceal your private information from the online public and replace it with our information!

Please note that you should have at least one domain with a website plan (Basic or Enhanced) purchased before adding Private Registration to your cart.

Business Class Email

Email is still one of the most important forms of communication today. Our industry leading email solutions will help you communicate professionally with your customers and partners under your company brand. With features such as collaboration and mobile synchronization, you’ll increase productivity and communication between you, your employees and customers.

The Business Class Email provides options that best suit your company-needs. You can choose the package based on the number of accounts required.

Websites The websites icon introduces you to the website builder, which will help you create and publish a beautifully designed website. With the builder, you can create a one-page site in minutes. Once you have created the site, you will have the option to publish or make edits. TO CREATE A WEBSITE:

1. Click on the websites icon in the Task bar. 2. Click Get Started.

For more information on publishing or editing your site, please refer to the “Online Presence Builder” User Guide.

Online Presence Boosters

Online Presence Boosters is an online credit system that is only available through your Online Presence Builder (Websites). Once purchased, these Booster points allow you to purchase Add-ons, which can be used within the Online Presence Builder. For example, Sell Online, a shopping cart, can be added to your site with just a few steps. Your online store appears on your site and you can begin to add purchasable items. Your customers will enjoy the convenience of checking out securely right from your site, without being redirected elsewhere. With Sell Online, you can rely on the secure and cost effective Web Services to store all data.

Account Management The Main Menu drop-down provides links to the following service:

• Users – allows you to purchase, upgrade or downgrade products and services. • Advanced Tools – allows you to add applications to your existing website. • General – allows you to view or modify account information, such as name, username, password

or language settings. • Payments - • Logout – allows you to log out of the Portal.

Users


This section displays a list of all users associated with this account and allows you to add new users. From here, you can grant permissions to three access areas: Domain, FTP, and Email. When adding a new user, you can grant full administrator permissions or allow the user to create new users.

TO ADD A NEW USER:

1. In the My Account drop-down, click Users.

2. Click Add.

3. Enter an email address, and first and last name for the user.

4. Select the permission levels.

5. Click the Generate Password icon to enter a random password. All generated passwords satisfy the “secure” password parameters. Alternatively, you can enter a password.

6. Select the required access areas:

• Domain – to allow full domain access, choose this option and select the domains for which this user should have access.


• FTP – to allow FTP access, select this option and enter an FTP user name.

• Email – to allow Email, select this option. The email address will auto-populate with the

information entered in the Username field.

7. Click Add User.

TO EDIT AN EXISTING USER:


2. Click the Edit icon.

3. Modify the required details. To change the password, click the Generate Password icon. All generated passwords satisfy the “secure” password parameters.

4. Click Save.


TO DELETE A USER:


2. Click the Delete icon for the user you wish to delete.

3. In the Delete User dialog, click Delete.

Advanced Tools

This section allows you to view all applications you have purchased. You can filter the view by selecting one of the category links at the top or you can click Show more at the bottom of the page to see all available applications.

The Web Tools Category provides a list of applications to assist in the building of your website.

WordPress Installer WordPress is an easy-to-use weblog system, providing numerous features like categories, ratings, as well as plugins installation. This installer application will easily install the WordPress tool to a directory that you specify within your web services account.


File Manager Pro File Manager Pro allows you to to take full control of your website files. It is a safe alternative to full shell access. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change file permissions, and upload files from your local computer to the server.

FTP Manager FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a UNIX service that has become an essential feature of the Internet. FTP is a communications protocol that allows for easy, efficient, and accurate transfer of files from computer to computer across a network or, in this case, from our end users computer (local location) across the Internet to a web server (remote location).

You can choose from thousands of templates, all of which can be downloaded from your WebsiteOS interface quickly and easily.

Email

EasyMail Setup

EasyMail Setup allows you to create, delete, and manage email accounts. You can also create alias accounts, which are account names that have no storage space and must forward to another address.

Spam filtering, Autoresponders, and a catch-all email address can also be configured.

Email Marketing

Email Marketing is an easy way for you to keep your customers, associates, and friends up-to-date with all of new and exciting company events. With Email Marketing, you create your email, manage contact lists send email to list contacts, and report on the results.

Utilities


DNS Manager

DNS Manager allows users to edit their domain’s zone file, including A (address) records, CNAME (canonical name) records and MX (mail exchange) records.

Log Manager

The Log Manager allows the end user to obtain raw server logs for their site activity and traffic. Activity Logs are enabled by default. End users can view and/or delete, print, download, and date their log files. They may disable logging altogether to conserve their disk space.

Note: By disabling Activity Logs, Web Stats will only display results of the 12 most recent logs available.

Windows Services

The Windows Services Enabler allows the use of ASP, ASP.net, ColdFusion and ColdFusion MX files on the end users domain. Our systems will process these files correctly only after enabling the appropriate service on the domain.

If the end user has an SSL certificate installed on their domain, secure services can also be enabled using the Windows™ Services Enabler.

General - Account Information

The General section displays your account information, such as Name, phone/fax number and email address. You can also change your password or language settings.

TO EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS:

4. In the My Account drop-down, click General.

5. In the Personal Details section, click Edit and modify the fields, as required.

TO EDIT THE USERNAME/EMAIL ADDRESS:

3. Click Save.

TO EDIT THE PASSWORD:


2. In the Password section, click Edit and enter your new password.

TO CHANGE THE PORTAL LANGUAGE:

Payments

This section allows you to view or edit your billing information. TO EDIT YOUR BILLING INFORMATION:

1. In the My Account drop-down, click Payments.

2. Click Edit.

3. Make the required changes.

In Contact Information list your name and location. In the next step check the confirmation box to agree with the terms and conditions, and then press Create Account button. 3. You'll be directed to the Add Tracking step. You DO NOT need to copy this snippet. Click Save & Finish and you will be directed back to the Overview of your account. From your account Overview, you will be able to view the Web property ID for the site (highlighted in Red). Copy this Web property ID to add to your site.


Add the Web property ID to your website following these steps:

• Login to your site and access Control Panel > Site Properties

• In Site Properties, scroll down to Special Features and click Show Options

• Choose Google Analytics from the Site Statistics dropdown menu

• Paste the Web property ID into its field and click Update

• You will now be able to access and login to your Google Analytics account through your Control Panel > Site Statistics.


4. Inside your GA account, under the Status column you will see the verification status of your site - it will appear as Unknown ( ) until GA has detected the tracking code you placed on your site. Within 24h the tracking code should be detected and your Status column should display Receiving Data ( ).


All hits to your website are now displayed inside your GA interface. You may access the complete statistics report in dashboard view by selecting your website from View Reports dropdown.
