    This document is a guide to the brand communication style for Anglo Belgian Corporation.

    It explains what our brand stands for, how it’s expressed, and how the creative elements fit

    together in all our communications. The guide should be followed when commissioning,

    designing or delivering any kind of communications.

    A strong brand is one of the most valuable assets an organization owns. To make it truly

    powerful it needs to be applied consistently so that anyone dealing with knows who we are

    and what we stand for. Everyone has a part to play in doing this and bringing our brand to life.

    These guidelines are to help you represent our brand consistently.

    Anglo Belgian CorporationAnglo Belgian Corporation produces first class engines for worldwide applications in

    the energy sector (generators) and transport sector (ships and locomotives). More than 100

    years of experience in engine design and operations, in an international environment, provide

    exceptional expertise and competence. ABC is committed to sustainable growth in all active

    markets. This desire for growth and the passion of the staff directs

    the company forward.

    Mission & visionWe develop innovative systems for generating power for both energy production and

    transportation of goods. Alternative fuels, lower emissions, reducing carbon footprint

    and hybrid systems are well known. Our objective is durability, reliability and simplicity

    in the design.

    We consider the quality of our staff as one of the major strengths of the company.

    We are convinced that building more confidence, knowledge and insight for the

    Whenever possible, the Anglo Belgian Corporation logo should appear in the upper left-hand corner, in full color, on a white background.

    Consistent placement in this location on communications materials helps build awareness of the Anglo Belgian Corporation brand.

    Clear space from the top and the left edge is equal to three times the height of the letter “A,” as illustrated in the diagram.

    If the logo cannot be placed in the upper left corner, an acceptable alternate placement is the bottom right corner. (exception on greeting card)

    Be sure to maintain the same amount of clear space from the bottom and right edges.

  • 18 l Badges - field applications

    Each field application is addressed by a badge / icon and a unique color. The company features a total of 4 badges. 3 of them are expressed in the mayor fields.

    The last badge is used for floating cranes & various applications. The icons can be used in grey with brand elements or as graphic element when needed.

  • 19 l Typography

    Our brand typeface is FF DIN Pro. FF DIN Pro should be used for all applications, except for typing letters, power-point, internal documents, or online HTML text. In these cases,

    use PT Sans as the default font. Keep typography simple. Do not overcrowd layouts and do not use too many type sizes. Use weight to draw emphasis instead.

    The @ symbol is always used in the District thin font and NOT in the FF DIN PRO font.

  • 20 l Typography - use

    For body copy always use PT Sans, picking out headings with Bold. For titling use FF Din Light, and FF Din Bold.

    Italics should be reserved for annexes. Condensed can be used where you have limited space, for example on forms.

    decades in propulsion and

    generating of inland ships,

    Traction engines

    Since 1950, the company is

    supplying diesel engines for

    railway companies. Since

    then, over 300 engines

    were delivered for traction

    applications both shunting

    and mainline service. As

    such, ABC is powering the

    world’s largest diesel-

    hydraulic locomotive.

    Service and trainingAnglo Belgian Corporation operates throughout the

    world with branches in more than 70 countries.These divisions provide on-site commissioning,

    installation works, repairs and preventive

    maintenance and advice for ABC engines 24/7.

    The service organization and certifi ed techniciansensure to exceed the required service level standard.The service staff is dedicated to help ABC’s customers,

    maximizing the productivity and uptime of the engines.

    ABC’s large-scale stock of spare parts ensures thatcomponents can be sent within hours to any locationin the world. In addition to this service, local servicestations provide the fastest delivery with their individualsubstantial stock of spares and consumables.

    ABC AcademyThe service department offers tailored trainingprograms for clients and new partners, according

    to specifi c requirements and can take place at theplant in Ghent or anywhere else in the world.

    ABC training courses are taught by veteran and

    experienced technicians who will be glad to sharetheir know-how and enthusiasm for ABC engines.
