This material is freely given for the use of Texas Baptists Churches and Christian churches who want to help people delve more deeply into spiritual formation disciplines. You may use it in whole or in part, simply credit Dr. Ryan Jespersen, Director, Urban Missions Texas Baptist in its use. These daily devotionals are meant to be simple and basic. Our goal is not for you to read the verses, and then quickly answer the questions, but rather that you would drink deeply of the Word of God. Each week will have a different theme related to the discipline we are learning about that week. Each day we will have a passage that we encourage you to read over several times. Answer the few questions we have about the passage, and meditate on the verse for the day. Though we understand that everyone has different schedules, we encourage you, if possible, to do this devotional sometime in the morning. This way, you can reflect on it throughout the day. It should not take you long to complete it, but we encourage you to linger with the questions and especially with the passage throughout each day. These devotionals are not meant to serve as your only daily time in the Word. We encourage you to continue in your own daily Bible readings. Thank you for taking the time to delve into this very powerful time in learning the great disciplines of the faith. Remember this is only the beginning of a lifetime of practicing these wonderful disciplines that so enrich us.
