Prayer & Praise

• Pray for Mark Jost and his family as he has been diagnosed with cancer and had surgery on July 12th to remove part of his lung and again on July 17th to remove a brain tumor. Please pray for his recovery and continued treatment.

• Continue in prayer for Tiffany Dick and her cancer treatment. She has resumed target pill therapy to clear the remaining cancer from her body.

• Pray for provision for the current & future financial needs of our church as we reach the end of the fiscal year this month. Pray for giving hearts and for all budget shortfalls to be overcome.

• Pray for leaders of our schools, students and their parents as we start the new school year. Pray for smooth transitions, positive learning environments, good support systems for teachers & students, and a safe place to work & learn.

• Pray for safe travel as many people are likely to be on the roads during the solar eclipse tomorrow. Pray for good weather and that everyone gets to and from their viewing locations safely.

TONIGHT! FUSION Back to School Bash: Sunday August 20th from 6:30-8:30 pm at Jim & Nora Ohrt’s Barn. All Youth in 7-12th Grade invited. Speaker is Jason Regier. There will be Yard Games: 9 Square in the Air, Spike Ball, and Human Foosball as well as a Giant Sundae Eating Contest with prizes for the winning team. The purpose is to promote community in churches & youth in the area, have fun, glorify God and draw closer to Him!

Fall Kick-off Potluck & Business Meeting: September 10th – Church family should bring a main dish and either a salad or dessert to share for the noon meal.

Wednesday Night Sign-up Sheet: "thegatheringplace" needs chefs! The sign-up is on the bulletin board in the Sunday School wing hallway. Meals and classes begin on Wednesday, September 13. Questions? See Judy Dick. Thanks for being a willing servant.

Lost and Found: An orange quad chair was picked up by mistake at Church Camp Weekend and so far we have been unable to locate the owner. If you are missing this chair and think it might be yours or you know who it belongs to, please stop by the office. Thank you!

KidsTime Help: Our Christian Education team is looking for caring adults to pray and consider being a part of one of our children's ministries. We are looking for teachers/helpers for our Sunday KidsTime (Age 3 - 8th Grade). We also need teachers/helpers for Wednesday KidsTime (Preschool - 5th Grade). Teachers will accompany their class to a large group Bible lesson and worship time. Then return to the classroom where they will plan some activities, games or crafts. We are also looking for Nursery volunteers for our Sunday Service and during our Wednesday Night Programs. Please contact Joanne Haidle or the church office if you are interested in helping.

Yorkfest Family Fun Night: Thursday, September 7 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be free inflatables and hot dogs/water at the York County Courthouse Lawn. Event sponsored by the York County Ministerial Alliance.
